  • In French, there are a variety of verbs, which are formed completely irregular. However, since many of these irregular verbs (French: les verbes irréguliers) count to the basic vocabulary, it is important that you memorize the conjugations of these well. Irregulars verbs in French are verbs of the 3rd group and most of them have the following infinitive endings: -re, -oir,

    pouvoir (to can)
