My name is Matilde, I'm 31 years old and I come from Montpellier. I have been living abroad for almost 9 years.
I have a Bachelor degree in applied foreign languages (LEA) as well as a Master degree in FLE (French as a foreign language). My mother tongue is French but I also speak Portuguese and English fluently. I have been teaching French for 7 years and European Portuguese for 5 years. First of all I started to teach as a French lecturer at the University of Passau in Germany. During this first experience I had the opportunity to: giving class to plenty of students, preparing classes, being a part of the conception and evaluation of orale and written examinations.
After that I taught in a "VHS '' which is a German language center offering evening classes for adults and teenagers. Since the health crisis I have been giving French and Portuguese online lessons. At the same time, I became a language trainer at AFB-Línguas'', Lingoda" and "Yesnyou".
Since I am a good listener, dialogue and trust are essential points for me.
I like to vary the types of documents and work on several skills simultaneously in order to make it motivating. I will also emphasize oral expression because I think that a language is above all a tool for communication and sharing.
I am perfectly aware that daring to speak is not easy. That's the reason why I will kindly encourage you to express yourself. I will always make sure that you feel comfortable and not afraid to make mistakes.

I am French living in Lisbon in Portugal. I have lived in different countries such as England, the United States and India. It gave me some experience of learning a foreign language and teaching it.
I am passionate about different cultures and try to share my love for French culture with you in a lively way.
I adapt to the needs of the students, whether to improve their oral, written, prepare for an exam or a job interview. I prioritize the conversation to allow the student to "unblock" and have fun speaking the language. I write down the vocabulary and grammar that the student lacks to express himself.
Learning a foreign language is, in my view, above all through cultural curiosity. We want to learn a language because we want to live in the country, travel there or get to know it better. We feel attracted. It is its Culture that motivates us in our learning: music, film, text, literature, way of being and cultural differences forming "another world". This means that learning is not just about learning a list of words and grammar lessons, as is taught too often in school. Practice again and again through conversation, books, music, movies and above all the pleasure of speaking and listening.
I adapt the student's personal work according to their available time and their objective (conversation, deadline for an exam, scheduled trip, etc.).

Hello! My name is Rhuana and I'm from Recife, Brazil.
I have a Languages degree (Portuguese and French) from the Universidade Federal de Pernambuco and I did a postgraduate course in Applied Linguistics to Portuguese Language Teaching in the FAFIRE. I also had the opportunity to study Didactics for Languages for six months in the Université Sorbonne Nouvelle, in Paris.
Since 2011, I work as a teacher of Portuguese (as first and foreign language) and French and I’ve had experiences in schools, language courses, online lessons… So I have a large experience teaching both of them and I had the opportunity to teach students with different levels, profiles and goals. My lessons are dynamic, fun and prepared according to the student's objective and interests. Also, I believe that sociocultural aspects are extremely important in the process of learning a language, since it is, above all, social. Therefore, these aspects will be always present in our lessons.
I love literature, cinema, TV series, music… I also love to travel, to know new cultures, new languages…
Portuguese is my first language, but I also speak French, English and a bit of Spanish.

I have a degree as an interpreter for English and French so I know how hard it may be to learn a foreign language. I work as a free-lance interpreter and private English and French teacher. I have a strong passion for languages which I have been studying for many years. I am studying Spanish now and always trying to improve my English and French knowledge. I understand it very well because I noticed it many times in my 6 years experience as a teacher and examiner. Though, allow me to communicate with you not as a teacher, but as a permanent and impassioned language learner. Allow me to transfer to you a part of my enthusiasm and my conviction that anyone can learn a foreign language in a funny way. Firstly, I promise you that a foreign language is an open door to another mentality, to another culture. I’m writing from my experience; I’m Romanian and I’m learning French since I was 8 years old. It’s not an easy language, especially at advanced levels, yet in my opinion, it’s the most elegant language. French transferred to me not only an elegant way to express myself - even in my mother tongue but also a different way of thinking; I read in French many classical French writers. During my master studies, I had also the chance to live among French students and I borrowed from them a great way to schedule a working day. I honestly think that learning French or Romanian could mean for you adding value to yourself.
