I'm obviously lucky. Today let me write a feedback on Katerina Vasileva in German; she understands it, she studied German language and literature ... I have known Katerina for almost two years now; Back in April 2019 I contacted 2 teachers and I was very happy with both of them - even if they work very differently. As mentioned, Katerina is a Germanist, as far as training is concerned, even if today, as far as I understand, she primarily works as a Russian teacher. Katerina responded to my wishes right from the start and also keeps a pending list with topics that we should still cover. Even so, the lessons are in no way stiff or rigid as one might fear. On the contrary, Katerina tries to include materials and topics from everyday life and from political discussions, making the lessons lively and varied. Short sequences with statements from the colloquial area also enrich the picture. Of course, in spite of everything, I appreciate the systematics and the related theory that I learn from Katerina. As a Latin lover, I tried right from the start to discover the structures and rules of the Russian language and to conquer them for myself. For Katerina these are not foreign words and she was able to answer all my questions. Nevertheless, it has also made me not only look for the theory, but also apply what I have learned in practice. When we, as Central Europeans and German speakers, are confronted with Russian, we repeatedly come up against the limit that we don't understand the Russians, we don't understand what makes them tick and why. Here, too, Katerina tried right from the start (and I hope to be successful) to build bridges and to convey ways of thinking through examples and thus also to create cultural understanding. I am extremely grateful to Katerina. I am very satisfied with our lessons - which can be seen from the 98 lessons we have today. I can only recommend it, it is full of ideas, can immerse itself in the student and prepares teaching materials that correspond to the level of the student. Спавибо, Katerina!
