Adverb of location or adverb of direction?
Keep in mind that:
- adverbs of position indicate where something is exactly located and they are followed by "de"
- adverbs of direction indicate direction and are generally used with verbs which express movement
¡Seguimos ____ ! (Let's go forward!)
adelante
La farola está ____ de la parada del autobús. (The lamppost is behind the bus stop.)
detrás
Vamos ____ que hace buen tiempo hoy. (The weather is good today: let's go outside.)
afuera
La lavandería está aquí ____ (The laundry is up here.)
arriba
El cachorro está ____ de su casa para perro. (The puppy is inside its doghouse.)
dentro
Pon tu mochila ____ de su silla. (Put your backpack in front of the chair.)
delante
Tus gafas están ____ del cojín. (Your glasses are under the cushion.)
debajo
Deja ____ la desconfianza. (Move away from distrust.)
atrás
La carnicería está allí ____ (The butcher's is down there.)
abajo
A mi gato le gusta acurrucarse ____ del sofá. (My cat likes to curl up on the sofá.)
