Katarína is a very nice and knowledgeable teacher. She always was on time, had well prepared the materials and knows how to explain the Slovak language to a novice. However, I am sure she will also be a good teacher for more advanced speakers.

Hi there!

My name is Andrea and I'd like to be your Slovak, Czech or English teacher. :-)
I am a qualified teacher. I studied at the State Language School in Slovakia and I passed the General State Examination in English Language (C1-C2 level). I gained a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD.) in Social Work and completed an Additional Pedagogical Education. As a PhD student, I gained experience in teaching. I enjoy teaching, working with people and speaking in English.

We can focus on whatever you wish to practise and I can take you through a structured course and I will supply you with all of the required materials. Lessons dependent on the student's needs - grammar, speaking, writing, reading or listening. I can help you with all aspects of Slovak, Czech or English.

In our first lesson we'll get to know each other and I'll make an assessment of your needs. After that I'll create a plan for us to follow together.

I enjoy teaching in a fun, friendly and casual manner. Whether you are an advanced student or a beginner let me help you improve. Let’s connect in a trial lesson so I can learn more about your goals. See you soon! :-)

I just finished my second Slovak lesson with Andrea and I am very happy that I chose her as my teacher! She is very kind, easy going and patient, and she has a good understanding of both English and Slovak. I would recommend anyone looking to learn this language as well to book your lessons with her! Looking forward to the rest of the course!

Hi! I’m Yasmina, a professional German, English, Russian and Slovak teacher for adults and teenagers. I am fluent in 4 foreign languages and I have sucessfuly passed C2 level exams for English and German.  I have a Masters degree in foreign languages and cultures from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. During my studies I have done a couple of exchanges abroad (Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Qatar, Iceland, etc).

I have lived in 4 countries, therefore I know how challenging it may be - to learn and SPEAK foreign language afterwards. I’ve been teaching and learning languages for more than 8 years (3 years of teaching experience). I am absolutely sure, that your learning process starts, when you begin to speak. Therefore my lessons are mainly conversational, but you would need to do your homework at home :)

As a result, we can use your new knowledge during the lesson. Language learning is fun and a lot of hard work at the same time. But if you know what to do, than the process becomes much easier and enjoyable.

Here is the key information on the lessons/courses:
1. Lessons are tailored to your needs
2. All materials are provided
3. Before we start, during the trial lesson, I will test you level and we will develop a plan in order to reach your goal as soon as possible.

Any questions? Don’t hesitate to ask me!

All the best,

Yasmina

Yasmina organizes the lessons in a varied, easy-to-understand and competent manner, is always punctual and attentive. She also incorporates information about the country (recipes, music, ...) and always thinks of something new - I like it when the learning is playful. Yasmina gladly and patiently answers questions, even those that concern the mentality or dealing with Slovaks (especially Slovakian mother-in-law ...). Clear recommendation!

During my university years, my stories were published in Turkish literary magazines. After my graduation I specialized in children's book illustration and literature. I recently founded children's book publishing house in Turkey. The name is Yıldız Tozu Publishing and my books: Cangül: Ruh Kuşları" and "Gökyüzü Kaptanı" were released.

I am currently editor-in-chief in the company. Also I have experience in teaching Turkish. Furthermore, I speak English very well, it is advantage for students who are beginners.

It is important why you want to learn Turkish because I design the course content depends on your needs and interests. In my class, I am going to suggest a grammar book and I will use movies, stories, picture books and songs as a learning materials. I like to do lesson in creative way; therefore, I believe you will enjoy learning Turkish in my class.

Esra is an excellent teacher. She is very enthusiastic, patient, works very creatively and responds very well to individual learning needs. Her communication skills are excellent and she has a wide range of interests and knowledge as well as excellent creative skills which she uses to make the classes interesting and stimulating. I am enjoying learning about Turkish culture, food, and many aspects of life which brings the lessons to life. Esra's English is excellent which is very beneficial for an almost beginner in Turkish. I would highly recommend Esra as a Turkish teacher, especially if you want to develop everyday conversational skills and engage with books, films, ideas etc. I am really enjoying my Turkish classes with Esra as they are both relaxed and inspiring

Thank you Bernie...

Maybe you need to learn French or Romanian and the momentum is missing. Maybe you are an expert in another area, and you don’t feel to learn a foreign language. I understand it very well because I noticed it many times in my 6 years experience as a teacher and examiner. Though, allow me to communicate with you not as a teacher, but as a permanent and impassioned language learner. Allow me to transfer to you a part of my enthusiasm and my conviction that anyone can learn a foreign language in a funny way. Firstly, I promise you that a foreign language is an open door to another mentality, to another culture. I’m writing from my experience; I’m Romanian and I’m learning French since I was 8 years old. It’s not an easy language, especially at advanced levels, yet in my opinion, it’s the most elegant language. French transferred to me not only an elegant way to express myself - even in my mother tongue but also a different way of thinking; I read in French many classical French writers. During my master studies, I had also the chance to live among French students and I borrowed from them a great way to schedule a working day. I honestly think that learning French or Romanian could mean for you adding value to yourself.

Silvia has wide experience: she's been teaching for almost 20 years to students of all ages (kids, youngsters, adults, elders) from many different countries and in different contexts. Hence, she knows that they can all have different needs and goals, to which she adapts her classes. She also provides really good learning materials and she does great use of internet resources.

Hei, hei!

My name is Kristian, I am Greek/Norwegian and what I always wanted was to express myself and communicate with others.

Living on a transit between Greece and Norway, made me realise that languages can be the best way to make new friends, open your horizons and see the world from a new spectrum. Since then, I have travelled A LOT, while living in Greece, Belgium, Poland, Romania and the UK.

The key to master a foreign language is decoding the culture behind the language and use it orally without the fear of making mistakes. No matter how much you're gonna read 'n' write, your gainz will be eventually lost, unless you orally use it.

Have you ever noticed what happens, when you try to speak in the other person's language?
Have you ever noticed what happens, when you are visiting the country that uses the language?
And have you ever noticed what happens, when you try to sing-along in another language?

Learning a language seem tricky. All you need, though, is a little bit of accountability and a little bit of creativity.

For more information, just contact me :)

Enjoy your day,
Kristian

The lessons are always informative, instructive and motivating. The fun of learning the language is enormously promoted through lessons with Kristian due to his ideas and also suggestions for various possibilities of self-study. My personal language goals are the focus of the lesson. Issues that are important to me are taken flexible into account. I'm looking forward to the further learning process. Vi snakker neste uke!
