I am TEFL qualified and I have over 16 years experience in 7 countries. Because of Covid I now teach only online using English File (oup). I will first analyse and assess your exact level. Then I will prepare a FREE sample lesson. After that I will fix any problems you may have below that level, so that you can progress with a solid ability in Grammar, Reading, Pronunciation, Listening and of course Speaking.
I like my lessons to be fun, but I am serious about teaching. If you really want to improve, I can help you.

I am an English teacher from Liverpool in England. I have been teaching around the world in countries that include Indonesia, Malaysia, Belgium, Taiwan and Spain.

I now teach English and Geography in a secondary school in Liverpool but retain my passion for teaching EFL by doing online lessons. I am a lively, dynamic and well organised teacher, and I like to provide stimulating lessons where communication is the main goal.

I want to target my lessons so they give you, the student, exactly what you are looking for. My experience means I can give classes in conversation, all levels of English, academic or exam classes or Business English. I have learnt several languages myself and I have found that speaking is the best way to learn, so I employ the communicative method in teaching, but set homework assignments and give written feedback outside the lessons.

Book a free trial lesson and we can have a chat, find out about you and what your goals are in learning English. Hope to see you soon!

Andy is a very good teacher. I love his commitment and his way to teach me a better use of the English language. I like his reviews and summaries of the last lesson - they help me to think again about the topics we have discussed. I recognize my English is becoming more confident and more fluent.

At the age of 23 I moved from France to the Netherlands. I got my education in France: primary school, high school and I studied two years at the Sorbonne university in Paris.
In the Netherlands, as a native speaker, I started to teach French to adults at the Alliance Française. A few years later I got my teacher's degree (Bachelor and Master of Education) in Amsterdam and I started teaching students at a high school in the Netherlands. I did that for 20 years and loved it. I always wanted to become a teacher. By now I have been teaching French as a foreign language for 35 years.

Have you always wanted to learn French? Would you like to refresh your french language? Do you need to prepare yourself for an exam?
Are you looking for conversation lessons? Do you need help with your french grammar? Everything is possible...
A good contact with my students is very important to me.

MERHABA :)
Hello! I am Omer, a teacher of both English and Turkish living and working in Lithuania.
My hometown is Antalya and I am a native speaker of Turkish. I speak proper and clear Istanbul Turkish (this is the most common dialect of Turkish) If you're looking for a teacher who's devoted, attentive, and fun, you've come to the right place. I never come to a class empty-handed and always make sure my students are engaged, entertained, and learning. Whatever your level in Turkish (or English), I can provide you with a casual, open environment where you feel comfortable experimenting with the language you're learning. Hoping to see you soon! :-)

Recently, the health situation has prompted me to leave my home country and start a professional retraining. Passionate about English since childhood, I chose to do the TEFL Course to be able to teach the language. Having just graduated with distinction, I would now like to move on to the next step of my apprenticeship : Teaching.

My first lessons will be based on the PPP method or Presentation-Practice-Production. This method consists, first of all, in presenting or having people guess the target language before giving learners the opportunity to practice it through controlled activities. During the last step of the lesson, students have the opportunity to produce the language in freer activities.

I will try, as much as possible, to give my students a way to discover the target language for themselves, based on their existing knowledge. Also, since the practice of a foreign language requires oral comprehension, my lessons will be entirely given in English.

My classes are open to everyone!

Hi! I've been teaching English in Spain for the last 3 years and have lots of experience with Cambridge official exams (Pre A1- C1), conversation classes, help with General English and CLIL.

My teaching style is student-centered and tailored to your needs and goals. There's always plenty of talking time to practice any new grammar and vocabulary to focus on fluency and accuracy, as well as building confidence to naturally practice your new skills in conversation. The courses I create always revise previous learning points and integrate them with new material so that you don't just learn something once and never see it again.

I teach with a range of realia, textbook resources and online materials that have proven effective and engaging with my students in the past, but everything I use is adapted specifically for your areas of weakness and learning styles!

Hello! I'm Sandra from Cape Town, a native English speaker with Cambridge certification to teach English as a second language. I have a Master's degree in English with over 10 years' experience as an English language editor and freelance writer. Tell me your goals or interests and I will create lessons around them. I will help you get you ready for any language proficiency exam (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS.) If you need to speak English in a Business or Medical context, I have the materials and the knowledge to improve your fluency. I teach ALL levels for ALL purposes Age 12 years and up. Please state your city/country/time zone in the lesson request. It is helpful if you test your current English level on this website or on the many other free online tests so that we can start at the right level straightaway. We CAN meet free of charge (just message me) to discuss your learning needs/my teaching methods, but I do not offer free lessons.

NB If you are writing a test like IELTS or TOEFL 'in a month or two' and you need to obtain a minimum score to enter a university, remember that according to education bodies like British Council and Cambridge English, it takes an average of 120-130 lesson hours to move from one level or band to the next. So with 'one or two' months, you need to already be at B2 or Upper Intermediate level to start preparing.

Hello everybody!

My name is Elena! I have been teaching French to kids, teens, adults for 12 years.

I began my career in 2008 working in an AUF member university and I’ve spend 6 years teaching general and professional French language skills to students and preparing them for TEF, TCF, DELF/DALF examinations. Later I’ve worked in several language schools. Now I work in Alliance Française and as a private tutor. I also work as a French - Russian interpreter. I also teach Russian to english speaking and french speaking people.

In 2017 I started teaching online and I know how to make learning fun, creative end efficient to people of all ages and needs. In my opinion, any study should be a pleasure, so I do my best to make my students enjoy the lessons and progress in speaking, reading, writing, listening and grammar at the same time.

I am Yora, a self-employed English tutor. I have been working with adults searching for tailor-made English totorials or/and flexible learning schedule since 2013. The lessons I offer are pretty much focussed on good communication and natural learning in a modern way, i.e. with using IT everywhere we can.

My methods

I am a proponent of learner-centred approaches and methods which are non-directive and rely on learners’ intrinsic motivation. They usually learn a foreign language because they need it for their work, study, travel, etc.. At the same time, when they do it in an  enjoyable manner, in accordance with their nature, interests, and style, and with opportunities to choose their activities and learning materials themselves, it is also intrinsically motivated learning.

In professional terms, I try to creatively implement ideas and methods from approaches such as  Direct one, Natural Learning, Democratic Education, and in particular Suggestopedia, Montessori pedagogy, Summerhill and Sudbury Schools.

In practical terms, it may mean providing learner colleagues with choices and often asking them what they want to do, and whether they want to do one or another task. For instance, they can choose whether to use a student's book or not, and if yes, to choose among at least two alternatives. My primary focus is LEARNING, and I encourage the colleagues to be active and increasingly independent learners to the point they can confidently manage their own language learning themselves. Of course, efficient communication and IT are natural components of my tutorials because they are part of life.

So my pillars are:

1. Reliance on the intrinsic motivation (self-driven and self-determined learning); my role is to be learner's guide, to facilitate their learning, and encourage their independence;
2. Good communication;
3. eLearning (IT as inherent component);
4. Creativity and art.

What my students will learn

Firstly, my learner colleagues will achieve their learning goals, be they to cover a relevant student's book material necessary for passing an English level test, or to advance with their language command in areas they want or find necessary for their work, travel, study, etc., in a rather tailor made manner.

Secondly, my  learner colleagues will learn to become more independent English learners. As the language is everywhere nowadays, there are countless accessible learning options, and it is usually a matter of motivation, knowing how to learn, and good self-management to go as far as they need in it

My teaching experience

My English teaching career started in private language centres in Sofia in 2013. I have been working independently as an online English tutor since 2015.. Among my students, there have been from pre-school children (with the youngest one aged four) through teenagers to adults just before retirement. However I have specialized in and feel most comfortable tutoring English to adults. Currently, my online learner colleagues are usually white-collar workers and pink-collar ones investing in their English skills for the sake of their career.

Apart from it, I have been in the field of learning for almost thirty years  starting with my university studies in education, and then focusing on non-formal learning (outside school) and lifelong learning. The latter covers seven years as a professional in staff qualification and career guidance in National Institute for Education in Sofia, as well as fourteen years as an independent expert for the European Commission under their programmes related to education, lifelong learning, youth, and European Citizenship.

I've been living and working as a Turkish teacher in London for 5 years. I studied Turkish language and literature. I graduated from Kocaeli University in 2009. I have pedagogical proficiency and a Teaching Turkish for Foreigners certificate from Istanbul University.

I have experience at high schools and secondary schools in İstanbul/Turkey for 5 years.

All the collateral will be provided by me. I will give you homework after every lesson and we will check it together.

I use a theory book and an excercise book for my lessons, versions vary according to your level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1). They're all published by Istanbul University and are called `Turkish For Foreigners`

I also use powerpoint presentations during my lessons. It makes it easier to understand the grammar rules.
My lessons are about grammar, listening, speaking and writing.

Lessons are interactive and fun as I believe a playful approach to learning a new language helps retaining information. Games and other devices such as cards will be be used during the lessons.

For more information please do not hesitate to ask me any questions. Thank you very much. Have a great day! :)
