In my lessons I integrate a range of real-life teaching materials, such as videos, which have personally helped me learn multiple languages as a self-learner. Moreover, each session will expand your understanding of the culture of the country where the language you want to learn is spoken. About me: I'm a huge language enthusiast - alongside Slovak, I'm fluent in four European languages, and currently, I'm self-studying two more. I come from a bilingual family, where alongside Slovak, I had the opportunity from an early age to develop my language skills in Croatian. In 2017, I graduated with honors in Croatian Language and Culture - Italian Language and Culture, specializing in Translation and Interpreting. During my studies, I spent time at the University of Bari and the University of Trieste in Italy. Shortly after my graduation, I undertook professional internships at the University of Sassari and at the European Parliament in Luxembourg. I am a qualified teacher. I studied at the State Language School in Slovakia and I passed the General State Examination in English Language (C1-C2 level). I gained a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD.) in Social Work and completed an Additional Pedagogical Education. As a PhD student, I gained experience in teaching. I´ve more than four-year experience in teaching. I enjoy teaching, working with people and speaking in English.
We can focus on whatever you wish to practise and I can take you through a structured course and I will supply you with all of the required materials. Lessons dependent on the student's needs - grammar, speaking, writing, reading or listening. I can help you with all aspects of Slovak.

Hi! I’m Yasmina, a professional German, English, Russian and Slovak teacher for adults and teenagers. I am fluent in 4 foreign languages and I have sucessfuly passed C2 level exams for English and German. I have a Masters degree in foreign languages and cultures from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. During my studies I have done a couple of exchanges abroad (Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Qatar, Iceland, etc).
I have lived in 4 countries, therefore I know how challenging it may be - to learn and SPEAK foreign language afterwards. I’ve been teaching and learning languages for more than 8 years (3 years of teaching experience). I am absolutely sure, that your learning process starts, when you begin to speak. Therefore my lessons are mainly conversational, but you would need to do your homework at home :)

I am originally from Reggio Emilia and I have a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Italian, English and German. Both degrees were obtained at the University of Applied Sciences ZHAW in Winterthur (in 2014 and 2016). For 12 years, I have been teaching Italian privately and tutoring adults and children of different nationalities (including Italians), from a beginner to an academic level. From a linguistic point of view, my strengths are an in-depth knowledge of Italian grammar plus "verbal creativity" (use of synonyms, different levels of connotation and register, specialized languages, ...).
My aim is to help my students reach their goals, whatever it might be. I don't insist too much on the achievement of certain levels (A/B/C), but I focus on the needs and preferences of each individual, which can range in any direction (from writing without mistakes to widening your vocabulary to getting by on holiday in Italy to understanding the logic behind a language ...). To do this, I set a first meeting exclusively to understand language level, difficulties, objectives, and deadlines of the person in front of me. This is the starting point to create a customized programme. My teaching techniques include an "entry test" to understand the student's linguistic "weaknesses", training in listening, reading, speaking, and writing and a "final test" to check improvements and learning pace. I select teaching materials with the students so that they are based on students preferences. These teaching materials might include translations, dictation exercises, dialogues, songs, videos (taken also from YouTube, Instagram, FB...), reading books and magazines. I am available for both live and online lessons.
