Hi there!

My name is Andrea and I'd like to be your Slovak, Czech or English teacher. :-)
I am a qualified teacher. I studied at the State Language School in Slovakia and I passed the General State Examination in English Language (C1-C2 level). I gained a Doctor of Philosophy degree (PhD.) in Social Work and completed an Additional Pedagogical Education. As a PhD student, I gained experience in teaching. I enjoy teaching, working with people and speaking in English.

We can focus on whatever you wish to practise and I can take you through a structured course and I will supply you with all of the required materials. Lessons dependent on the student's needs - grammar, speaking, writing, reading or listening. I can help you with all aspects of Slovak, Czech or English.

In our first lesson we'll get to know each other and I'll make an assessment of your needs. After that I'll create a plan for us to follow together.

I enjoy teaching in a fun, friendly and casual manner. Whether you are an advanced student or a beginner let me help you improve. Let’s connect in a trial lesson so I can learn more about your goals. See you soon! :-)

Katarína is a very nice and knowledgeable teacher. She always was on time, had well prepared the materials and knows how to explain the Slovak language to a novice. However, I am sure she will also be a good teacher for more advanced speakers.

Hi! I’m Yasmina, a professional German, English, Russian and Slovak teacher for adults and teenagers. I am fluent in 4 foreign languages and I have sucessfuly passed C2 level exams for English and German.  I have a Masters degree in foreign languages and cultures from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. During my studies I have done a couple of exchanges abroad (Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Qatar, Iceland, etc).

I have lived in 4 countries, therefore I know how challenging it may be - to learn and SPEAK foreign language afterwards. I’ve been teaching and learning languages for more than 8 years (3 years of teaching experience). I am absolutely sure, that your learning process starts, when you begin to speak. Therefore my lessons are mainly conversational, but you would need to do your homework at home :)

As a result, we can use your new knowledge during the lesson. Language learning is fun and a lot of hard work at the same time. But if you know what to do, than the process becomes much easier and enjoyable.

Here is the key information on the lessons/courses:
1. Lessons are tailored to your needs
2. All materials are provided
3. Before we start, during the trial lesson, I will test you level and we will develop a plan in order to reach your goal as soon as possible.

Any questions? Don’t hesitate to ask me!

All the best,

Yasmina

Yasmina organizes the lessons in a varied, easy-to-understand and competent manner, is always punctual and attentive. She also incorporates information about the country (recipes, music, ...) and always thinks of something new - I like it when the learning is playful. Yasmina gladly and patiently answers questions, even those that concern the mentality or dealing with Slovaks (especially Slovakian mother-in-law ...). Clear recommendation!

Daniela is a wonderful teacher. I really had difficulty properly expressing myself in Italian. Daniela not only tought me the basic rules of Italian grammar, but more importantly, during our many conversations in Italian, she helped me express myself much better and with confidence. I still have some path to go, particulalry deepening my knowledge of grammar. The next phase that I will start in a couple of months will focus on perfectionning that. I hope Daniela will find the time to work with me again

I am an English teacher from Liverpool in England. I have been teaching around the world in countries that include Indonesia, Malaysia, Belgium, Taiwan and Spain.

I now teach English and Geography in a secondary school in Liverpool but retain my passion for teaching EFL by doing online lessons. I am a lively, dynamic and well organised teacher, and I like to provide stimulating lessons where communication is the main goal.

I want to target my lessons so they give you, the student, exactly what you are looking for. My experience means I can give classes in conversation, all levels of English, academic or exam classes or Business English. I have learnt several languages myself and I have found that speaking is the best way to learn, so I employ the communicative method in teaching, but set homework assignments and give written feedback outside the lessons.

Book a free trial lesson and we can have a chat, find out about you and what your goals are in learning English. Hope to see you soon!

Andrew is an outstanding teacher - not only regarding his international experiences teaching abroad all sorts of ages, but also his positivity, professionalism, and his open-mindedness. Although not having a lot of online experience yet, he is technically up to date, has a lot of study material he could provide you with and most importantly, Andrew is focused on achieving your goals together by preparing classes completely based on your needs. We can recommend him 100%.

My name is David, I am a trained linguist but also majored in Translation and Interpreting in college, and I hold a MS in Speech Language Pathology. I am fluent in English, Italian, German, French and Spanish. I have lived and studied stateside on a Fulbright, as well as in Germany and Italy. I am currently based in Northern Italy and I have been teaching professionally students of all ages and all walks of life in all the afore-mentioned languages. I generally provide language instruction classes to teenagers and adults, though - as a SLP -I have worked with kids before. I have been a professional language teacher for the past 13 years. I am a firm believer in the focused deliberate practice model as well as the communicative method of teaching, but at the same time I try as hard as I can to tailor my didactical methodology to the individual student's needs and learning style. I am available for language classes in English, Italian and German at all levels, including the most advanced ones. I can also offer conversation classes in English, Italian, German, French and Spanish. I can provide Spanish and French classes up to an upper-intermediate (aka B2-C1) level. Looking forward to seeing you in “class”.

David knows exactly what he is doing when he is teaching you French, I loved how quick, simple, and effective the lesson was.

Hi! My name is Joyce and I am from Glasgow in Scotland. I’m looking forward to meeting you online to help you improve your English!
I have a degree in French and German, and have worked in tourism for over 30 years, living in many different parts of the world. I love learning about and getting to know different cultures.
I love travelling and have been fortunate enough to work as an overseas representative, and then manager, for British tour operators in such diverse places as Bulgaria, Spain, Jamaica, Italy, Austria, Paris, Thailand and Cancún, where our objective was always to provide the best possible service to our customers, the holidaymakers.
I then stayed in Cancún, spending over 15 years with Mexico’s principal travel company in the growing e-commerce sector, specialising in online sales and reservations, customer care and corporate travel.
Times are changing and looking for a new challenge I have taken the opportunity this year to add to my skills and have obtained certificates in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, and Teaching English Online. I’m really looking forward to putting these to good use in helping you to improve your English vocabulary, grammar and conversational skills. We will go at your pace, incorporating reading, writing, listening and speaking, with enjoyable interactive activities to make learning fun.
