Blended learning approach
Our Dutch courses combine live lessons with a structured online learning portal. Lesson time is dedicated to speaking, correction and real professional interaction. Between sessions, you follow a guided online study path aligned with your CEFR level, so you always know what to prepare and practise.
Each CEFR level includes approximately 45 structured lessons. Professional tracks include 20–30 targeted modules.
Recommended learning path: 3 months per level with 30 minutes of study per day and one weekly conversation lesson. Faster progression is possible with increased intensity.
Each participant receives:
- A level assessment and personalised learning plan
- A fixed professional teacher experienced with expats
- Access to the learning portal with structured progression
- Attendance tracking and lesson reporting
Lessons can be scheduled:
- Before work
- During lunch breaks
- After work
If your agenda changes, you can switch between in-person and online sessions without losing progress. During business travel, classes continue online.
Continuity is ensured because your learning history, objectives and progress data are stored in a shared system accessible across locations.

Case study 1 – Nurse preparing for the BIG-toets
Situation
A Spanish nurse relocated to Utrecht to start working at UMC Utrecht. She had A2-level Dutch but needed B1 competence for patient interaction and preparation for the BIG-toets language requirement.
Training approach
Hybrid format: weekly in-person lessons near Utrecht Science Park combined with structured medical modules in the learning portal. Extra focus on patient intake conversations, shift handovers and short clinical notes. Online sessions were used during irregular hospital shifts.
Result
Within 7 months, she progressed from A2 to solid B1 level. She conducted patient explanations more confidently and improved documentation accuracy, feeling linguistically prepared to register for the BIG-toets.
Case study 2 – Tech professional in Leidsche Rijn
Situation
A senior software developer relocating to Leidsche Rijn wanted to integrate into a Dutch-speaking team but had limited time for study.
Training approach
One weekly conversation session focused on sprint discussions, project updates and informal workplace communication. Daily 30-minute guided portal study ensured structured grammar and vocabulary progression. Sessions continued online during business travel.
