I try to get my students to talk as much as possible because in my experience there is often so much emphasis on learning all language rules that being able to communicate disappears into the background. I received my TESL diploma from the Canadian College of Educators, and have received the following TESL related certificates: “Teaching English Online” certificate of “Cambridge Assessment English” and “CLB Bootcamp Certificate” of “Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks”. I am bilingual in English and Persian and have knowledge and proficiency in languages like Dutch, German, French, and Spanish. My goal as a teacher is to motivate and engage my students to learn English, to adapt to their new environment successfully. I help the student communicate effectively. Effective communication helps the students increase their quality of life by acquiring suitable education, employment, and housing. I thrive to help my students succeed in Canada and build their new lives optimally. I use a combination of the “communicative” and “task-based” methodologies in the classroom. I provide my students with fun and engaging tasks, embedding lessons in those activities, to motivate them to take part in the learning process. I believe in group work. I make sure that my students communicate with each other, and with me, during the educational activities that I design for them.
