My name is Lana and I have been teaching English language since 2006 and Italian language since 2002. I have had a lot of students from Bologna... and the other parts of Italy, the US and ex Yugoslavia, taught in 3 schools in Bologna, British school included (references available on demand). I have always been passionate about languages. My view is that every language is important; the rarer the language is, the more unique your knowledge is. I use all of my knowledge and experience to teach English, Italian and Croatian because the style, rhythm and sounds of one language can improve teaching the other ones. So let's see it from another point of view! Forza! Koliko jezika znas, toliko vrijediš! Read more
After living and working in the UK and Germany for many years, I moved to Spain. Certified in London, I taught for language schools in Frankfurt... and worked freelance in Spain teaching all levels. I try to get my students to talk as much as possible because in my experience there is often so much emphasis on learning all language rules that being able to communicate disappears into the background. Depending on the student´s goal, I adjust my classes so that we can achieve that goal as much as possible! Read more
Teacher of Japanese, Italian, English and Spanish. A different opportunity to learn one of this language.
Hi, welcome to my profile! My name is Alessia and I currently live in Italy. I lived some years in America where I deepened my knowledge of... English and American dialects. I am currently specializing in the Spanish and German. In all these years I have given private lessons of Italian, English, Spanish and Japanese, at the moment the most required language. Regarding Japanese, I had the opportunity to experience the teaching of the language in an American College with a native Japanese teacher, implementing the method that they themselves use to learn their language. I will help you in a simple way; conversation is really important to learn a language and even more a good method. No days spent on textbooks are needed, constancy and fun during lessons are the most important part for learning. You will see the results immediately! I am patient, flexible and I will adapt in all ways to your personal needs. I'll wait for you on my profile for the trial lesson and discover an easy and fun method to learn a language as soon as possible. Read more
Medical or general English, test preparation, or Persian language skills by a certified English teacher/ licensed doctor.
I am excited to provide you with a quick introduction of myself. I am TESL Ontario (OCELT) and TESL Canada (Professional Standard Two)... certified. I received my TESL diploma from the Canadian College of Educators, and have received the following TESL related certificates: “Teaching English Online” certificate of “Cambridge Assessment English” and “CLB Bootcamp Certificate” of “Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks”. I am bilingual in English and Persian and have knowledge and proficiency in languages like Dutch, German, French, and Spanish. My goal as a teacher is to motivate and engage my students to learn English, to adapt to their new environment successfully. I help the student communicate effectively. Effective communication helps the students increase their quality of life by acquiring suitable education, employment, and housing. I thrive to help my students succeed in Canada and build their new lives optimally. I use a combination of the “communicative” and “task-based” methodologies in the classroom. I provide my students with fun and engaging tasks, embedding lessons in those activities, to motivate them to take part in the learning process. I believe in group work. I make sure that my students communicate with each other, and with me, during the educational activities that I design for them. This helps them use their language abilities while forging new long-lasting friendships. I believe that motivation, engagement, and communication are three important elements of language learning. I have a diverse educational and professional background. I have degrees in Environmental Engineering and Chiropractic Medicine. I enjoy walking in nature and the city, exercising, playing sports, reading, and writing stories. I am looking forward to working with you to improve your English, Medical English, or Persian language skills. Please do not hesitate to contact me, should you have any questions. Cheers! My name is Nikos Poulopoulos and I've been teaching Greek (and English) at the University level (Harvard, McGill, UMSL) for the past 15... years. I believe that a key element in pedagogy and language acquisition, whether live in a classroom, or online via e-learning tools and platforms, is keeping the participants highly motivated and as possibly immersed in the elements and the challenges of the new language and culture they are embracing. My personal philosophy of student engagement brings dialogic and performative exercises, visual and cultural titbits, and the much needed digital technology into the (e-)classroom in order to increase learning motivation and efficacy. My objective as a designer of such material is to motivate my students towards a level of linguistic confidence and independence where they gradually develop a desire to learn and think for themselves when they have all the necessary tools at hand. Hello, everyone! My name is Eva, I am 41 years old and I have been teaching for more than 20 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in English and... French and I have been living in a small town in the Netherlands for a little bit over 10 years now. I am a freelance English teacher and I have been teaching English in Dutch for over 8 years. (I am fluent in Dutch as well.) I work with different age groups and I enjoy each and every one of them as learning goes both ways! I teach both one-on-one as well as in groups. When I first meet a student, I quickly evaluate his/her level and ask about the goal he/she wants to achieve. Depending on the students' level and motivation, their goal, and the time they have on their hands, we decide on a course. I have experience with Cambridge courses. It is about learning, but also about having fun as it's much easier to learn this way. Looking forward to meeting you! Read more
I am a private teacher in English, German and Italian. I am a Master's graduate in Translation and Interpreting at the University of Genoa,... Italy. I am Italian native speaker. I know English and German at C2 level and Russian at B2 level. I have been studying English for the last 15 years, first at school and then at the university and I have improved it on my frequent stays abroad. I have now been teaching English for 4 years, first to school children and teenagers and now adults too. I have experience teaching online and at home. I also have taught group classes. Being fluent in several languages allows me to give students further explainations in their native language when needed. This also allows me to put myself in my students' shoes and understand better their difficulties. I try to meet the student's personal needs and objectives rather than impose my standard class. During my classes I focus on the active skills of language, speaking and writing. I often ask students to do presentations so they practice writing and speaking at once. I strongly encourage self-studying along with frontal teaching in order to considerably shorten learning time. Homework is for me as important as frontal classes. If needed, I can provide students with textbooks and online material such as videos, news, songs and textes. Read more
