My name is Gustavo Gutierrez and I have bachelor’s degree in Languages and Cultural Studies and a second one in Literature. Last September I... finished my master with an emphasis in North American Literature Studies, for the program “The Americas/Las Amércias” in the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. As a language tutor, I have experience with school students and adults. With students my job consisted mainly in reviewing the lessons that the students had throughout the week and highlight the key aspects of each topic. In addition, when necessary, I would make extra exercises to prepare the children for their language exams. With adults, the goals of learning are tailored towards their goals (conversation, business, grammar and so on). Regardless of the goal, I finish each session with a game (Pictionary, Scattegories, crosswords, or similar) with the objective of expanding the tutees vocabulary and linking the process of learning to something enjoyable.
