Hello! My name is Khaalied and I’m originally from the South Africa.I am still currently living South Africa teaching English and Arabic. I... enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. Speaking with people who want to improve their English is one of my favorite things to do. I enjoy real-world conversational and situational English. Yes, I have a degree and a TEFL certificate, but don’t let that fool you. I’m a “real” person and have many interests that we can discuss! My teaching style? Fun and interactive! I really like to teach English and Arabic that are relevant to YOU and what you want to achieve. Yes, we will have fun during our lessons, but we will also focus on your goals. Some examples include small talk, rapid conversation, listening skills, idioms, or even jokes. Why should you spend your money on me? You are not just “another student” to me. As we work together to build your English competency, we will get to know each other more, making the lessons seem like they are about your life. I use supplementary materials and resources outside of our normal lessons. Some examples include WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, and homework about current events. Audio/Video Policy I do “audio” calls but I recommend video calls because your body language and facial expressions are important indicators of whether or not you understand the material we are discussing. I prepare lessons for each student individually based on their specific needs for each language. For example: if you language need is... Business English, I prepare your lesson on what you need to do your work. If your language need is to practice your speaking skills, your lesson will be based on themes that you are interested in. If your language need is to learn English from scratch, we will discuss a program to get you started from the beginning to when you can speak English with confidence. My tutoring also focusses on the development of my students. Through my classes, I aim to stimulate creativity, analytical skills, improve business skills, understanding of different cultures, problem-solving, communication skills, enhance my student's opportunities in worldwide jobs and to expand their worlds globally. Lessons are individually prepared for each student to learn grammar, vocabulary, speaking, listening, pronunciation and reading. More about me: I have been in tutoring and training for 15 years and I follow a communicative approach with interesting themes and discussions that draw on your life experiences and everyday situations. I was born in South Africa and live close to Cape Town. I speak both Afrikaans and English as native languages. I studied Human Resources and specialized in training. In 2015 I added a TEFL/TESOL certificate to my qualifications. I was given a traditional African name by a student group in South Africa and they named me Noluthandu which means “a person who likes people.” This was a great honor for me. I am very much excited to walk the exiting path with you while learning a new language. Remember, it takes small steps to reach the top of the mountain of success. Read more

Lessons should be fun and not feel like a punishment! I also offer some games to play for children who are bored at home.
Hi there! My name is Carlen Rudolph. I believe that teaching and tutoring students should not feel like a punishment to anyone but should be fun... yet effective! In my trial lesson we will just have a chat where I will get to know you a bit more and what goals you want to achieve out of our English lessons. Based on this information I will then customize our lesson according to your needs so that we can reach your goals together! (Please note that for Afrikaans I do not offer language teaching lessons but I do offer to play games in Afrikaans. Please see "For children" below for the type of game we can play). For children I can either dress up as different characters to make the lesson more fun, for example I can be a safari guide where I can take you around the world to learn about different animals or I can dress up as Rudolf the red nose reindeer and show you all the different colors, shapes and cultures of the world. We can also play fun games where you can invite your friends to join! These games include charades, would you rather, make up stories, guess the animal, hangman, heads up, I spy with my little eye (where I share different pictures of scenery and they have to guess the object I'm explaining) and role play. For adults: I can help you in grammar, improve your vocabulary, just practice speaking English, help with presentations/class orals where I give you tips on your body language and when to put in a joke and when to be serious so that you get an higher mark next time or impress your boss! I also love general knowledge so we can play a game of general knowledge were don't just practice speaking English but also broaden your general knowledge so that you can join in on almost any conversation!
