Whether you are new to English or you just want to brush up your language knowledge and take it to the next level, I can help you.
After gaining my degree in Translation (Italian>English), in 2015 I started pursuing a teaching career and became a certified English Teacher (CELTA certificate). I then went to Asia to work for a Language school in Kazakhstan. Since then, lots of things have happened! I even decided to do a Master in Linguistics in the UK (Newcastle University) for a year. I loved learning more about the history of English, its phonology and syntax.
During my five-year teaching experience, I have taught in various settings (in-person and online; individual and groups), for all levels and ages. I especially enjoy teaching one-to-one lessons as - in my opinion - they are more personalized and effective than group lessons.
For my lessons, I use British English textbooks published by Oxford University Press (OUP), which are great as they include lots of communicative activities and speaking exercises where students can actively practice the language. I like to explain grammar rules clearly to students, but I also want to give them the opportunity to speak as much as possible.
You can try a 20-min free class and if my teaching methods resonate with you, I'll be happy to be your English teacher.
Best of luck to all English students out there!
Michela
