Hi! My name’s Chiara and I’m an Italian teacher.
I have more than 5 years of teaching experience and my qualification is teaching Italian to foreigners. Indeed, I got the CEDILS certification.
I also have experience in teaching abroad: I lived for one year in Taiwan, studying Chinese and teaching Italian to Chinese speakers.
Currently, I’m teaching Italian online. I think that one-to-one teaching or small groups teaching is more efficient because it allows the student to focus on what he needs and the teacher can create a specific study plan for the student, that in this way learns things better and faster.
My lessons are based on the communicative method and I’ll provide grammar exercises, listening, pronunciation, conversation, or Italian culture topics, depending on the student’s need.
I love traveling, meeting new people, learning new languages and cultures, but most of all I love sharing my culture and language with those who are interested in it.
Apart from Italian I also speak English and Chinese. So, I’m really patient and encouraging with my students because I know the difficulties of studying a foreign language and how important is it to speak with native speakers.
My hourly rate includes the material and assistance in case of any doubt or question.
