The lessons with Tove were great. We always had a lot of fun and quite diverse lectures based on our personal needs. Tove was super flexible to accommodate whatever we wanted to learn, be it e.g. listening comprehension, grammar or danish sayings. What we enjoyed most was that we were talking only in danish and therefor having one hour of danish conversation each week which was super helpful. We can only recommend everyone who wants to learn danish (be it beginner or intermediate) to take lessons from Tove.

Tove is amazing! I started on Duolingo 1.5 years ago and I could not start a normal conversation. Tove helped me with the pronunciation, with grammar, with the Danish culture, she gave me many children's adventures to read (I like them) and, suddenly, I spoke Danish after 12 Danish lessons! I now work in Denmark and everyone says my Danish (pronunciation / grammar / vocabulary) is very good. Sa Tove is my 'language angel'. There is a clear structure in each lesson: first we talk about something, then we do some grammar exercises and read a little. She also almost always does a listening exercise with new words from the last lesson and the topic is often about my life. Very convenient! She is always interested in you and what you experience. She can also well understand what you mean if you can not find the right expression, so there is never "a dead moment" in the lesson. It was a nice experience! I can recommend Tove to anyone who wants to practice Danish!

About 4 months ago I started taking lessons with Tove, and started from absolute scratch, I didn't know a single danish word. Now through the helpful and "hyggelig" lessons, I have reached the point where I can understand quite a bit of danish and have a simple conversation. We have little conversations at the start of every lesson and I really notice my danish slowly improving and being able to understand more and more of Tove's danish. Tove is really a lovely person, with whom you can always have a laugh and is clearly very enthusiastic about teaching danish, I love that. For instance, she made me custom lytteøvelse (listening excersises) multiple times about just the things I like. She is very patient and, like someone already mentioned, focusses on the difficult aspects of the danish language, which for me is definitely the pronunciation. She doesn't mind explaining things multiple times if i forgot or if i didn't understand it the first time. Så Tove, mange tak for dine lektioner. I'm looking forward to the next one.

I have taken, until now, two lessons (+ the free intake session) and I really recommend Kirstine as a danish teacher. With her clear teaching experience, she brings structure to the lesson and various suggestions of exercices, but remains flexible to adapt to my specific needs and wishes. It makes the lessons really tailor-made, and therefore as beneficial as possible. She also provides homework (if wished), which also gives some extra material to study between the lessons. Her patience and smiling face make the course even more enjoyable. Kirstine, I look forward to keep learning with you in (at least) the coming months! :-)

Kirstine was a very pleasant teacher to whom I also had the freedom to provide my own input: try writing texts in Danish myself, introduce lesson topics, point out similarities & differences between Danish on the one hand and Dutch on the other in terms of vocabulary & grammar. I could also indicate whether I wanted to prepare exercises for the next lesson and how many. Occasionally we could also talk about typical aspects of the social culture in Denmark versus that in Flanders. In my specific case, I only had a very limited knowledge of Danish based on a booklet bought in 2008 intended for those who want to travel in Denmark. Well, I speak several languages myself, especially other Germanic languages and that has certainly proved very useful to get off to a flying start during my Danish lessons. Based on my 24 lessons with her, I now have a foundation in terms of vocabulary, grammar & pronunciation in Danish. Kirstine also sent me spoken texts with which I could practice my pronunciation - for which she complimented me. I enjoy watching a TV program or DVD in Danish now or listening to music in Danish and then hearing words passed by during the lessons. If I decided to take a trip to Denmark, all of that would certainly come in handy. Anyone planning to take lessons from Kirstine should not hesitate. Jeroen

I have been a teacher at coLanguage for more than three years now, but as a teacher in `the language music´ I have been working for several years. I have 25 years of experience as an organist in a church. I teach choirs for children and adults and I have been a piano teacher. I feel that my experience in teaching choirs and pianostudents and playing music is very fruitful for the way that I teach Danish. I have followed an intensive online Dutch course and as a student I think it works out very well. You are making progress very fast, because you speak a lot, and the teacher can take your speaking level as your starting point. I look forward getting to know you in a free trial lesson and to hear something about your wishes and your goals for studying the Danish language!
Best regards,
Tove
