Ciao a tutti! This is Serena, I'm Italian, from Rome to be precise. I started studying languages when I was eleven, that's why I speak fluent... English, Spanish, and Russian (с ощибками)). I have a degree in Languages and Cultures and I'm currently studying for a Masters in Modern Languages for International Communication. As you can understand from my CV, I LOVE LANGUAGES AND CULTURES and also, I have a lot of experience in learning. Moreover 2018, after finishing university, I took a gap year and somehow ended up teaching foreign languages in a private school in Russia. I was only there for three months, but it helped me understand what it means to be a teacher! I am a friendly teacher who understands how challenging learning a new language can be. So don't worry! Hi there, my name is Roberta. I am an Italian native speaker, and a professional language teacher with a DITALS II certification from Siena... University. I live in Italy in a lovely little town called Monate near a small lake of the same name, just 40 minutes by car from Milan. The aim of the lessons will not be learning generic Italian but to learn Italian according to the needs of every student. About me Ciao! My name is Andrea and I am a native Italian with years of Italian language teaching experience, graduated from University of... Rome.  I lived in London and Los Angeles for several years. Then I attended courses for teaching Italian as a second language. I have been teaching Italian language to foreigners for 4 years and it has been very satisfying so far.  Qualifications & Experience Since I was attending primary school until I graduated from University I have always studied both Italian and English languages. They tell me enthusiastically about the successes achieved both at work and in private-daily life by learning the Italian language with me.  Teaching Approach I always try to understand what kind of student I have in front of me, where he/she comes from and his/her age. The way I teach to kids is different than the way I use to teach to adults. I always try to meet the student's needs, guiding him/her gently. If the student needs to know more grammar I start my lessons teaching more rules, following a Structural approach: this means that I would start teaching the language as a complex of grammatical rules which are to be learned one at a time in a set order. Along with that it is possible to do some grammar translations to and from the target language and to practice some Audio - Lingual method (learning through the practice of dialogues of every situations). Only after all this I push the student towards a Direct method, that means that it is possible only to use the target language: the teacher explains everything using the target language only and the learner is not allowed to use his or her mother tongue.  When the student starts to speak fluently I like to focus more on the pronunciation, about the way he/she sounds practising with the student more conversation, analyzing his/her fluency, mental blocks or mispronunciation.
