7 out of 10 expats living in Hungary give up learning Magyar (Hungarian) because they find it a torture of grammar. True, our ancient tongue is... very different from Indo-European languages both in syntax and vocabulary. However, if you are patient and learn to feel the differences in thinking, you will enjoy enormously. As a linguist with more than 30 years of teaching experience I devoted my professional career to make learning Hungarian easy and fun. Your motivation is my inspiration. We Hungarians in general, and I personally, highly appreciate if someone wishes to learn Hungarian. The highlights of my blended method of teaching Hungarian: • Learn through our grammar-made-easy method • Immerse yourself in the cultural context • Practise your knowledge in everyday real situations

Hello, I have been taught Hungarian since 2004. I have been teaching Hungarian “as a foreign language” since 2009. I have founded a company... in 2020 to teach Hungarian language. Currently my business works for many companies around the world. In the lessons we teach grammar and vocabulary, and we practise converstion from the beginning (greeting, introduction, description, various topics later). After the lessons we offer writing and listening practice as homework. It is possible to send the homework by photographing or scanning it, which will be returned after a quick correction. In this way, we can constantly monitor the progress of our students. There is always the opportunity to discuss any questions that may arise in the next class. Our students really like this method, which is also proven by the fact that we have had students for 3-4 years who keep choosing us. I hope we can count you among our students soon. I used to teach elementary school children through non formal education methods: games in particular. Also by sharing experience through story... telling. I also have experience in teaching highschool students and youngsters. The methods are both non formal and formal education methods. When I teach in formal way, I use interactive tasks since most of the students like to acquire communication skills. I adapt myself to a student's needs and let them suggest me what would they like to work on.

Hey there :-) Thanks for clicking on my profile! My name is Tomi and I'm an energetic, fun and flexible teacher. I'd be very excited to... e-meet you! :-) There is nothing more satisfying for me than seeing the lightbulb over my student's head once they've overcome a hurdle and understood something that was too difficult for them before. I've studied languages at four universities, which gave me an insight into not only how languages work but also into how to teach them effectively. My main strengths as a teacher have been said to be my excellent rapport with students, the large variety of activities I include at my classes and the fact that I have never forgotten what a long journey it is to learn a language.

I offer Italian and Hungarian lessons with more than 10 years of experience, with a PhD in Italian language and literature. I received my... doctorate in literature from the Elte University of Budapest and since then I have gathered a lot of experience both in teaching Italian and in interpreting and translating. I have also lived and worked in Italy, in Rome, at the Hungarian Academy in Rome. Since 2011, I have been living in Stuttgart with my family and have been teaching Italian and Hungarian at VHS Stuttgart for 4 years, but I would like to expand my experience elsewhere. I offer one-to-one lessons, but also lessons in small groups at all language levels online or in person. Do you want to improve your Italian or Hungarian? Or are you a complete beginner? Are you preparing for an exam? You don't understand grammar or you just want to talk to someone about everyday things, but also about more complex topics such as art, literature, politics or other? No problem! I am at your disposal! :-) As materials I use many kinds of books both for the Italian language (Passo dopo passo, Progetto italiano, Con piacere nuovo, Espresso...) and for the Hungarian language (Szia, MagyarOK, Lépésről lépésre....), as well as many interactive online materials: games, quizzes, articles of various kinds, grammar exercises etc... I look forward to seeing you! :-) Eszter
