I am a very well-travelled and experienced entrepreneur. I speak 7 languages, of which four fluently. For example, in Japan and the Netherlands I taught English to Japanese businesspeople. In addition, I have taught Japanese Culture to HBO (polytechnic) students and to employees of big corporates in the Netherlands. As an entrepreneur I have also supervised many interns at WO (academic), HBO (polytechnic) and MBO (vocational school) levels. In the past 20 years I managed my own ice cream factory and simultaneously worked as a production supervisor Japanese television throughout Europe. Hello, my name is Rignald Ietswaart. I am a Dutch native speaker and I currently live in Florence. I have a Bachelor in Italian language and... culture and a Master of Arts in modern languages and linguistics. Learning and teaching languages is my profession, my hobby and my passion. I speak several languages, like Italian, English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. For the past 13 years I have been teaching Dutch and Italian as a private teacher individually and to small groups. I have had students from different nationalities and of different ages and professions. In the past 6 years I have been teaching online for several language schools. My approach is usually based on the student’s level and needs and therefore it is personalized. In general the main focus is on oral exercises in order to achieve correct pronunciation, which in turn will allow the student to comprehend the spoken language faster and feel more comfortable.
