Hello everbody, I am an experienced and teaching-passionate language professional offering tailor-made Croatian (all levels), ... General English (Elementary, Beginner's, Intermediate & Upper-intermediate level) and Russian (Elementary & Intermediate level) Conversation lessons as well as Business English. The lessons are structured according to student's needs with a variety of interesting topics. A range of different teaching materials is used. I tend to apply mostly visual aids as, according to my experience, they help students most in memorising new words and language structures. During the lessons we are focusing on further development of communication skills but we are also exploring vocabulary, grammar and culture. We read and discuss various texts, analyze grammatical issues, listen to conversations and songs, play games and quizzes and more than anything, we TALK! That makes conversation lessons always interesting, useful and likeable. As an open and friendly person with an international family and experience of life in other countries, I enjoy meeting people of other cultures. I would be happy to get a chance to help people all over the world to learn the languages I teach. Perhaps you as well? Welcome! Dobro došli! Добро пожаловать! Welkom! Read more
Very experienced teacher!
Hello everyone, my name is Tea and I have been teaching for the past 4 years. I have a Master's degree in teaching both English and Italian and,... as I am very passionate about my job, I enjoy teaching all age groups so whether you are a parent who is looking for a teacher for their youngster or you are a businessman/businesswoman, I can definitely help you. In my career so far I have used various coursebooks depending on my students' needs, but I like to incorporate plenty of my own materials designed specifically for my individual students. Moreover, I believe that in order to learn a language, you need to slightly fall in love with the nation whose language you're learning so get ready to really get to know the people. Of course I will also teach you grammar, but I have studied cognitive approach to grammar teaching so have no fear - I'll do all that I can to make you understand what we're learning instead of making you memorise things by heart. I can't wait to meet you and start our journey! Read more

My name is Lana and I have been teaching English language since 2006 and Italian language since 2002. I have had a lot of students from Bologna... and the other parts of Italy, the US and ex Yugoslavia. I have taught in 3 schools in Bologna, British school included (references available on demand). I have always been passionate about languages. My opinion is that you can not make progress in foreign languages if your mothertongue language isn't perfectly spoken or written. Thus, my view is that every language is important and it is not possible to say that knowing one language is more precious or profitable than the other. On the contrary, the rarer the language is, the more unique your knowledge is. I use all of my knowledge and experience to teach English, Italian and Croatian, I don't limit myself because the style, rhythm and sounds of one language can improve teaching the other ones. So let's see it from another point of view! Forza! Koliko jezika znas, toliko vrijediš! Read more

I love teaching because it's a dynamic and an interesting job. You can teach your students and you can learn from them as well. The happiness and joy of the student + their progresses with their target language = my biggest prize (so my students are the ones who motivate me to work better)and I try to combine: a bit of reading, a bit of writing, a bit of conversation, a bit of grammar and a bit of listening by using different resources. I have two parts: 1) Conversational part (here I check their vocabulary and their fluency + I find out their language goals and their needs) 2) Writing part (with that I focus much more on grammar and spelling) For each part, I take notes (I have my notebook for that). Secondly, I personalize my lessons to their goals and needs. I can cover a lot of topics: business (job interview, CV, motivation letter, ... ) , travelling, culture, etc. My Teaching Material Text Documents Audio Recordings Images and Visuals Video News Articles and Magazines Quizzes Example Test Templates Graphs and Charts Homework Assignments PowerPoint Presentations Read more
