Definition of verbi sovrabbondanti
I verbi sovrabbondanti are verbs that belong to two different conjugations.
There are two types of verbi sovrabbondanti:
- Verbs that have the same or similar meaning in both the conjugations they belong to
- Verbs that have a different meaning in the two conjugations they belong to
- Devo starnutire (I need to sneeze)
- Devo starnutare (I need to sneeze)
- Ho imboscato il cellulare nella borsa (I hid the mobile phone in the bag)
- Il comune ha deciso di imboschire un terreno (The city hall decided to plant woods on a land)
In the first two examples the verbs starnutire and starnutare have similar meaning, while in the last two examples the verbs imboscare and imboschire have a different meaning.
