My name is Amanda Mueller-Chew, I am British, and my home town is Blackburn, County of Lancashire. I studied many languages from a young age including French, German, Latin, Spanish, and at university, I studied Japanese for 5 years. I am a qualified violin teacher, and swimming teacher and I have acquired an online TEFL diploma in teaching English as a second language. I am bilingual in English and Italian, I moved to Piemonte, Italy in 1995 and began teaching and translating here freelance. I taught teenagers at 2 high schools in Borgosesia for 2 years in 2015-2017, and since then I have been teaching privately and online. In total I have 13 years of teaching experience in Italy. I specialize in communication, since it is highly in demand for jobs in turism and business or simply for travel. I carefully plan each lesson, the first one is an informal reunion, an introduction during which we get to know each other. The proceeding lessons are situations in which i teach the student relevant vocabulary, phrases, i makes questions and answers regarding the subject.At the beginning of the following lesson,i make a quick test on what he/she learned before.At the end of 15 lessons the student should be able to communicate confidently and correctly in almost any situation requiring the knowledge of the English language.
