Hi!
My name is Pia. I was born and raised in Antwerp. There I worked in education for the past thirteen years. I taught primary school children, worked as a support person for children with disabilities and worked with parents of vulnerable children. All this gives me a broad view on education and teaching.
Since August, I have been living and working in Jakarta. Here I teach Dutch at an international school. Unfortunately I only work parttime, so I would like to spend more time teaching.
Because I have experience with different target groups (NT2, adults, children), I can adapt my teaching methods and content well to the needs of the student. I offer a variety of teaching methods that enable you to make progress in terms of communication, vocabulary expansion and grammar.
I use the following methods: news comprehension, language active, language in motion and plain language. In addition, I develop my own material to use during the lessons. I like to work thematically and with books.
