I am excited to provide you with a quick introduction of myself. I am TESL Ontario (OCELT) and TESL Canada (Professional Standard Two) certified. I received my TESL diploma from the Canadian College of Educators, and have received the following TESL related certificates: “Teaching English Online” certificate of “Cambridge Assessment English” and “CLB Bootcamp Certificate” of “Centre for Canadian Language Benchmarks”. I am bilingual in English and Persian and have knowledge and proficiency in languages like Dutch, German, French, and Spanish.
My goal as a teacher is to motivate and engage my students to learn English, to adapt to their new environment successfully. I help the student communicate effectively. Effective communication helps the students increase their quality of life by acquiring suitable education, employment, and housing. I thrive to help my students succeed in Canada and build their new lives optimally. I use a combination of the “communicative” and “task-based” methodologies in the classroom. I provide my students with fun and engaging tasks, embedding lessons in those activities, to motivate them to take part in the learning process. I believe in group work. I make sure that my students communicate with each other, and with me, during the educational activities that I design for them. This helps them use their language abilities while forging new long-lasting friendships. I believe that motivation, engagement, and communication are three important elements of language learning.
I have a diverse educational and professional background. I have degrees in Environmental Engineering and Chiropractic Medicine. I enjoy walking in nature and the city, exercising, playing sports, reading, and writing stories.
