I have always enjoyed working with languages, culture, education and people. I am originally from Venezuela so Spanish is my native language and I have been living in Belgium since 2009. My degree as Master in Industrial Sciences is equated here.
I am a teacher and since 2018 I have been teaching Spanish to adults. I am able to boost the self-confidence of my students. My lessons are for absolute beginners (direction level 1 and 2), intermediate (direction level 3) and advanced (direction level 4). Conversation is also possible. I focus on the four most important skills: speaking skills; listening skills, writing skills and reading skills. And also on grammar and spontaneous communication.
Teaching and language are just my passion and I would like to teach it to others. I work with adults and seniors, but know that every person learns in a different way. Pleasure in learning and daring to communicate are paramount to me: We use Spanish book and workbook; audio material (Spanish songs), card games and more!

Some of the key elements in accelerated learning that I adapt in my teaching methodology are as follows:

Flipped Classroom:
In contrast to conventional teaching methods, students are provided with class material prior to the lesson. This allows them to practice what they have learnt during classroom discussions and activities.

Task-based Approach:
Traditional teaching approaches focused on the content that teachers thought their students needed to learn. This included a lot of emphasis on grammar. Task-based approach, on the other hand, focuses on the skills that the students want to acquire. The teacher no longer focuses on ‘what’ is taught but ‘why’ it is taught.

Lexical Syllabus:
In line with the task-based approach, lexical syllabus focuses on the vocabulary that the student needs to learn in order to perform a specific task. For example, the word ‘asset’ is essential for a business student, similarly, ‘biopsy’ is an essential word for a medical student.

My approach allows me to connect with students' previous learning experiences and knowledge and increase their reflection between what they learn and their life experiences. Overall, it is a student-centered, interactive, collaborative and communicative approach.

My goal is to make you confident and comfortable around others when speaking in English.

My name is Alberto and I am 27 years old. I am currently finishing the double degree in Spanish and French Law at the Universities Complutense of Madrid, and Sorbonne of Paris. I speak Spanish, English, French, German and Italian. I am a serious and responsible person. Moreover I am quite sociable, extrovert and easygoing. In my clases I adapt myself to the needs of my student. We practice the speaking, the writing, or any other skill the student desires. We learn also grammar and vocabulary. I like to work with spread sheets of grammar and vocabulary to consolidate the grammar basis, but I also like using other ressources, such as films, books, videos, games, songs or articles from the newspaper.

I am quite patient comprehensive and kind. All the students that came to me with problems or difficulties bearing relation to the grammar have come through them with a great success after some lessons with me.
