You can achieve all that here with me ABOUT ME I am Cecilia and I am a teacher of “Spanish as a second language, I'm italian and I’ve been living in Spain for 16 years now, I’ve been a Spanish student myself therefore I know what you’re looking for when studying a new language, all the fears you might have when speaking with natives, difficulties with the grammar and the extended vocabulary. In our classes we can talk about lots of topics, like sports, travels, food, culture always customized on what you like too, and I’ll try to pass on to you the passion I have about Spanish, so that you will fall in love with it too. MY EXPERIENCE I'm certified with ELE Internacional and the UEMC (Universidad Española de Miguel Cervantes). I teach online classes for adults and kids and I've been teaching now for about a year now. WHAT ARE MY CLASES LIKE I like my classes to have a relaxed vibe because I think it's really important to feel comfortable with the teacher. The first class will help us to know each other, adjust the material to your passion and what you like to discuss most and your objectives We will use original material customized for you, but also official text books, music, books, movies, and gamification to make the classes fun. MY MOTIVATION What I love the most about my job in that it builds a connection with people from different cultures and social context and this makes me grow as a person and as a teacher. Also I really enjoy learning from my students and being their guide in the learning process, helping them improve their skills like pronunciation, conversation and grammar. TRADITION AND INNOVATION Graduated in Translation and Italian L2 Ditals certification (currently trainee) I generally use an... inductive-communicative method (from language to grammar rule). I like to mix tradition and innovation, communication and culture. Having said that, I think that the method must be adapted to the specific characteristics and motivations of the learner to keep his interest and attention high. The materials I use are varied, relying on the manuals and countless resources available on the web. I have been teaching a variety of students aged 2 to 70. Together with my CELTA, I have a bachelor's and master's degree in languages and literature. I like my lessons to be student-centred and a place where my students can feel welcomed and safe to make mistakes and learn. I used a variety of materials giving priority to the appropriate learning style for each student. I feel it is essential to incorporate authentic material to any level and use different tools to strengthen the weaker areas. I spend time to tailor and personalise my lessons.
