Very experienced teacher!
Do you want to show off next time you go on holiday to Italy? Do you already speak Italian and you want to improve? Do you need to deal with... Italians who only speak their language? Or maybe you need a little help with your English? That can happen and I can help you. I’m an Italian native speaker and I graduated in Linguistics following my interest for languages. My first experience as Italian teacher goes back to 2007 as a traineeship for Centro Linguistico Il Mulino in Padua teaching students and tourists of levels A1 and A2. After graduating I got a TESOL certificate to teach English and I spent a few years working as a teacher of English and Italian both in Italy and abroad. Having worked with students whose age spanned from 4 to 70 years old, beginners to advanced, I developed a more dynamic teaching method than what is usually adopted for the traditional scholastic system. For me effective communication comes first and then, when my students are familiar enough with vocabulary and how to use it I will explain grammar and theory. I use printable sheets, audio files, videos, role games, songs, books and I like to make each lesson a bit different than the previous one by using several teaching materials. I pay a lot of attention to my students’ needs and requests and I plan my lessons keeping an eye on that. Read more
Dear all, Would you like to learn a new language such as Italian, English or Spanish in a smooth, accessible and fun way? Then, it would be a... great idea to embark on an exciting journey together! My big priority is to make sure that my students will learn a new language and get much more familiar with a new culture as fast as possible by doing dynamic and funny activities which suit everyone’s needs and passions. Song lyrics, texts from your favourite books, literature, parts of movies, news, TV series, traditional recipes may be only some of the instruments that we can use in order to make the learning process more efficient and focused on using the new language in different fields. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Languages and Literature from the University of Verona (Italy) and a Master’s Degree, cum Laude, in Languages and Media from the University ‘Cattolica’ in Milan (Italy) and Chapman University in Orange, California (USA). If you are a proper beginner, if you already know a few words but you don’t dare to speak to anyone yet, if you are already very confident with the language but you still want to get to a higher level of proficiency, if you want to know better about one of these cultures, than this is a perfect course for you. A nice introductory chat can help both of us to understand which is the starting level and which is the goal of the course in order to tailor a proper class according to your need. Join the course and you will be immediately immersed in a new culture and in a heartbeat you will speak a new language! See you soon! Maddalena Read more
I have taught since I began attending university, it means it has already been roughly six years. At first I taught english to friends of mine... who simply wanted to get further glimpse into this language. After the bachelor I moved to Rotterdam where I learned the Dutch language at a B1/B2 level. After that I began my master degree in Treviso and now I use Chinese to teach Italian to Chinese speakers. The teaching method I adopt is a significantly active one. I want students to speak rather than write, because it is in the brain and the mouth that the real learning takes place. We will go through everyday situations and entail daily scenarios from which pull out useful expressions and handy notion of grammar as well as phonetics and linguistics. Read more
Hi everybody! My name is Simone. I’m 23 years old and I’ve got a BA in Applied Foreign Languages from Altiero Spinelli Municipal School for... Interpreters and Translation. What’s my dream? Working for the European Institutions. Meanwhile, I worked as a steward for events, I worked in the hotels as a tour leader, I worked as a waiter and….. I taught foreign languages! I started with Latin, English, French, Spanish and Chinese to middle school, high school and university students. In 2017 I worked for two months as an Italian teacher in a Chinese cultural association, where I taught Italian to students from 6 to 17 years old. First of all, I like to teach people not to be afraid when they speak another language, that’s why I immediately start the conversation using foreign languages. I tend to focalise more on pronunciation, which is fundamental for me. However I also think reading and writing are equally important; maybe at the beginning you’ll start reading school texts and then we’ll move on newspaper articles. Culture is also really important. It’s good that students understand the geographical widespread of the languages they study and also that they know some traditions of those countries. I also like to use for this purpose videos I find on the Internet (especially Youtube). If you’ll choose me, you’ll improve not only your language knowledge, but also your culture in general……. See you soon! Read more
