I speak: English, Italian, Spanish I teach: Italian

I've been teaching Italian for 7 years to any kind of students, coming from every corner of the world. Teaching Italian is not only a job, but a... real passion: I started as a volunteer and I enjoyed it so much that I decided to take the DITALS certification. I worked for two years with asylum seekers in Italy, meanwhile I started to work with a language school and a company which welcomes Erasmus interns. Thus I've met students from all around the world, of different ages and different cultural and educational backgrounds, which helped me gain flexibility and develop the ability to adapt my teaching methods to my students. My courses are focused on communication and culture: first come vocabulary, communication skills and real situations, only then we can focus on grammar. I use recorded dialogues, any kind of written texts, videos and songs, trying to address my students' interests and practical situations. I offer individual courses as well as group courses, but group courses are what I enjoy more, because dialogue and confrontation foster the acquisition of a new language.

I speak: English, French, Italian I teach: English, Italian

I am an English (ESL) and Italian (ISL) teacher working at a multinational company operating in the language learning market, with training... centers all over the world. I have earned a Master's Degree in Pedagogy from the Faculty of Education at the University of Bologna and I have several years of experience in education, working in different fields and holding various positions, such as school tutor, pedagogue, and teacher at a language learning center, working with adults (e.g. Corporate/Business English) and children/teenagers at public/private schools (from pre-school to high school). I have also studied in France (Universitè Paris X), USA (Vassar College, NY), experiences that have led me to have a high command of English and French. During my university years, I also participated in pedagogical research projects abroad, in particular in Sweden and New York, to study different educational approaches with pre-school children. Thanks to these experiences I have developed a pedagogical method that can be adapted to the specific needs of adults and children, helping them to find the learning method that best suits their necessities. My methodology is based on learning by doing, i.e. learning through action: the student is placed in the center of the learning process, in a context in which they will be led to put into practice the skills they have acquired, even in the case of beginners, through a real immersion in the English/Italian language. Lessons are conducted entirely in English to allow the students to strengthen their speaking, reading, and listening comprehension skills since the very beginning of the course. My lessons are tailored to the specific needs of the students and the material I use is diverse, stimulating, and interactive. I use Cambridge material, especially for the preparation of certifications, as well as online resources such as articles from international newspapers, and multimedia material including videos and interactive games.
