I believe that learning Bulgarian online with me gives you the best of both worlds: fast progress and enjoyment.Taking on the challenge to learn a new language is impressive. The reasons might be different. Some people give it a go because they just like new things. Others need to learn a new language because they are moving to a country where the language is spoken. Remember that whatever your reason is, it is your motivation that is the key to successful learning. Who am I and why to pick me: - online and face-to-face teaching experience: over 15 years helping hundreds of students achieve their language goals - flexibility: willing to tailor my techniques to both your interests and specific needs - patience and excellent listening skills - honesty and collaboration: let's build trust and consider our work as a partnership - native Bulgarian speaker with oustanding educational background - sense of humour Material All lessons are interlinked to promote better and more memorable learning, with the flexibility to pick out key sections to focus on certain language points. All language is clearly signposted and scaffolded so there is great clarity of progression of learning - students can really feel they are getting somewhere. In general, my teaching style includes, but is not limited to: - speaking practice through role-play activities - stotytelling and discussions - gap filling excercises - listening comprehension - vocabulary development - accent reduction How does that grab you? If interested, drop me a line and we will discuss your language goals and expectations. I OFFER a 15 MINUTE TRIAL LESSON TO DEMONSTRATE WHAT MY TEACHING METHOD LOOKS LIKE. Hope to see you soon. Here are a few tips on how to get the most out of every lesson: 1. Review what you covered in your previous lesson. 2. Focus on things you had difficulty with. I will definitely go over them. 3. It is always a great idea to take notes during your lessons. It helps you stay more focused on what you are learning. 4. Feel free to ask me if anything has come up since your last lesson that you want clarification on. Your questions do not have to be prior lesson related, maybe you are just curious about how to say something. 5. Be sure you have completed your homework assignments. If you were not able to complete them, make notes about what stumped you. Were the instructions not clear enough, was the vocabulary beyond your level of comprehension, were the grammar rules too overwhelming, was there too much homework for the time you had planned to spend on it, and so on. 6. Contact me prior to your next lesson if there are any issues or changes you would like to make me aware of so I can have a chance to make changes to your learning plan. I look forward to seeing you in my lessons. Read more

Let me help you improve your English. I am a native English speaker with a Master's degree in English, a Bachelor of Science degree and a CELTA... teaching qualification. I have taught for three years. As a copy-editor, I have been helping people improve their written English for over ten years. I will help you get you ready for English language proficiency exams (TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS.) We CAN meet free of charge (just book a FREE CHAT) to discuss your learning needs/my teaching methods. However, I do not offer free lessons. It is useful if you take a quick online test to establish a starting point: https://www.cambridgeenglish.org/test-your-english/general-english/ Please let me know the results. If you need to reschedule, please do so 24 hours in advance to avoid being charged. NB If you are writing a test like IELTS or TOEFL 'in a month or two' and you need to obtain a minimum score to enter a university, remember that according to education bodies like British Council and Cambridge English, it takes an average of 120-130 lesson hours to move from one level or band to the next. So with 'one or two' months, you need to already be at B2 or Upper Intermediate level to start preparing. Read more

Language lessons focussing on pronunciation, grammar, understanding written articles adjusted to your interests
Hello, I'm offering informal Dutch and English lessons based on conversation and will conduct my lessons for as much as possible in the target... language. I use text, weblinks to tv shows to get us talking and am a fan of the TPRS method. There's a lot of information on that method online. Basically it's getting to know the structure Dutch and English through simple conversation. (questions about 1 or several sentences on any topic) I have some useful weblinks to tv shows in Dutch (with subtitles in Dutch) adjusted to your level and the shows are entertaining too. :-) We can discuss the shows preferably in the target language of course. I can explain some grammar too if needed and have articles and books ready to read from. This again will be adjusted to your proficiency. But of course if you'd like to focus on a topic which has your interest that is possible as well. This makes it more personal and more fun. I've been teaching for about a year now on another platform to students from all over the world and really enjoy having the experience again as I used to be a vocal coach back in the days when I attended conservatory in the Netherlands. I hope to see you here on Co language. :-) Read more

Welcome! With the new year, it is time to dedicate yourself to new projects. You've probably been wanting to improve your English for a while,... but find it hard to find the time, think it's complicated, or perhaps you aren't constant enough? I understand how you feel because I have taught 1000+ students over the years and 90% have the same doubts. The good news is that everything depends on the way you study. The old-fashioned teaching methods are outdated: here we learn to really speak it and to overcome mental blocks and difficulties step by step. We will improve your English by tackling interesting topics with various tools: from videos, music, and short texts to audio files with real everyday conversations and even TV series. Try a lesson for free. I will already provide you with some tools to get started yourself. Are you ready? - Mary Read more
I can help you to improve your English language skills. Writing good emails, composing a convincing CV or application, with all these aspects I... can assist you. I can offer support for a better understanding of English grammar, and can help you to enlarge your vocabulary, and to improve your pronunciation. I also proofread and translate texts for a variety of businesses and professionals (from English to Dutch and from Dutch to English). NT2-lessons The Dutch language lessons might concern the same topics, but NT2 (Dutch as second language) lessons usually focus on the basics of the language (listening, speaking, conversation, reading, writing) related to everyday language use (think of meeting people, sending emails, shopping etc.). This is conform the A2-level, tested in the Dutch Inburgering exam. If you want to study Dutch for work or study you will need B1-level (Staatsexamen-NT2 I) or B2-level (Staatsexamen-NT2 II). Understandability is always what matters not a perfect use of grammar (although this aspect is not unimportant). Sources For my lessons I usually select a book (from a well-known publisher) that matches your wishes. This way all important ingredients of langage learning (listening, reading, writing and speaking) will be covered. If necessary I will look for additional materials, which will garantee a custom-made approach. Background I have studied English Language & Culture at Leiden University (BA en MA) and have much experience as a lecturer at Delft University of Technology. I also teached at a secondary school (ISK, Internationale Schakelklas) in Delft. For many years now I have provided lessons (for both groups and individuals) groepslessen, I coach students with their thesis writing (which includes students with dyslexia) with good results. To book a lesson Every student is welcome. In the years that I have been teaching Dutch and English I helped people from a variety of backgrounds such as French, Dutch, English, Italian, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic (Morocco, Syria), Polish, and Ukrainian. I speak and understand some of these languages; if not, we use English as a bridge language. If you would like to book a lesson, just contact me. Then we can book a lesson for you together. The availability shown on the website gives you an indication and may differ from week to week. The number of lessons depends on your goal. If you want to improve a single topic or prepare yourself or an upcoming Staatsexamen than 1 lesson or 4 lessons will be a good choice. If you want to study a whole ERK-level from, say, A0 to A1 or from B1 to B2 than you will need more lessons. Read more

Do you perceive English as an obstacle? Not anymore! We will overcome it together by catering lessons to meet your needs, making them engaging,... and addressing topics that deal with real-life situations. I come from the United-States and have been working as a native English teacher for more than 5 years. Predominantly, I have taught professionals who needed to expand their business vocabulary and speak with confidence. I've also taught clients who asked for tailored lessons for an exam preparation such as IELTS. This experience has been enriching and has exposed me to clients from different walks of life. I've learned to create a positive and stress-free environment while always keeping the learner's objectives in mind. Earning the TEFL has reinforced these principles in me and reminded me of certain points such as reducing Teacher Talking Time and being authentic. My method is to first have an idea about your level and objectives. Then we will focus on communicative skills, and we will bring up subjects of your interest while addressing practical vocabulary terms and grammar. Finally, at the end of the lesson, you will be able to use the newly learned terms and structures in a discussion and in your own way. Let's embrace this new challenge! See you soon. Joudy Read more
