Hello everyone, my name is Tea and I have been teaching for the past 4 years. I have a Master's degree in teaching both English and Italian and,... as I am very passionate about my job, I enjoy teaching all age groups so whether you are a parent who is looking for a teacher for their youngster or you are a businessman/businesswoman, I can definitely help you. In my career so far I have used various coursebooks depending on my students' needs, but I like to incorporate plenty of my own materials designed specifically for my individual students. Moreover, I believe that in order to learn a language, you need to slightly fall in love with the nation whose language you're learning so get ready to really get to know the people. Of course I will also teach you grammar, but I have studied cognitive approach to grammar teaching so have no fear - I'll do all that I can to make you understand what we're learning instead of making you memorise things by heart. I can't wait to meet you and start our journey! Read more
After living and working in the UK and Germany for many years, I moved to Spain. Certified in London, I taught for language schools in Frankfurt... and worked freelance in Spain teaching all levels. I try to get my students to talk as much as possible because in my experience there is often so much emphasis on learning all language rules that being able to communicate disappears into the background. Depending on the student´s goal, I adjust my classes so that we can achieve that goal as much as possible! Read more
My name is Lana and I have been teaching English language since 2006 and Italian language since 2002. I have had a lot of students from Bologna... and the other parts of Italy, the US and ex Yugoslavia, taught in 3 schools in Bologna, British school included (references available on demand). I have always been passionate about languages. My view is that every language is important; the rarer the language is, the more unique your knowledge is. I use all of my knowledge and experience to teach English, Italian and Croatian because the style, rhythm and sounds of one language can improve teaching the other ones. So let's see it from another point of view! Forza! Koliko jezika znas, toliko vrijediš! Read more
Hello! My name is Zoë, I was born in the Netherlands, and lived there until I was 18. Since then I've lived in several different places, such... as Australia and the UK. I currently live in South Africa. I am a qualified English teacher and have been teaching both online and offline for a while. I encourage students to get to know the language as much as possible through conversations. That way, you don't only learn new material that I present during each lesson, but you also learn to use that in your day-to-day conversations. I give homework in which the material is repeated, and we then discuss it and use it during our next lesson before moving on to new things. As we get to know each other during the lessons, we can talk about things that interest you, and we can focus on areas that you struggle with, or areas you want to focus. Learning or improving a new language is fun and by learning to speak English you can travel the whole world! I should know! From studying abroad to learning English or South African slang, we're going to have a good time. Send me a message if you're interested, and we can chat about your goals. Let me know! Read more

Hello! My name is Khaalied and I’m originally from the South Africa.I am still currently living South Africa teaching English and Arabic. I... enjoy meeting new people and experiencing new cultures. Speaking with people who want to improve their English is one of my favorite things to do. I enjoy real-world conversational and situational English. Yes, I have a degree and a TEFL certificate, but don’t let that fool you. I’m a “real” person and have many interests that we can discuss! My teaching style? Fun and interactive! I really like to teach English and Arabic that are relevant to YOU and what you want to achieve. Yes, we will have fun during our lessons, but we will also focus on your goals. Some examples include small talk, rapid conversation, listening skills, idioms, or even jokes. Why should you spend your money on me? You are not just “another student” to me. As we work together to build your English competency, we will get to know each other more, making the lessons seem like they are about your life. I use supplementary materials and resources outside of our normal lessons. Some examples include WhatsApp, Line, WeChat, and homework about current events. Audio/Video Policy I do “audio” calls but I recommend video calls because your body language and facial expressions are important indicators of whether or not you understand the material we are discussing. Cheers! My name is Nikos Poulopoulos and I've been teaching Greek (and English) at the University level (Harvard, McGill, UMSL) for the past 15... years. I believe that a key element in pedagogy and language acquisition, whether live in a classroom, or online via e-learning tools and platforms, is keeping the participants highly motivated and as possibly immersed in the elements and the challenges of the new language and culture they are embracing. My personal philosophy of student engagement brings dialogic and performative exercises, visual and cultural titbits, and the much needed digital technology into the (e-)classroom in order to increase learning motivation and efficacy. My objective as a designer of such material is to motivate my students towards a level of linguistic confidence and independence where they gradually develop a desire to learn and think for themselves when they have all the necessary tools at hand.
