I'm Canadian and live... near beautiful forests, mountains, sea, rivers, and lakes. Sometimes I travel and currently I am in Europe. I have taught English learners whose first language is Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Arabic, German, French...and a few more. I teach all levels of English and Beginner or beginner-intermediate levels of French. My lessons are designed for your needs and may include reading, writing, speaking, listening, vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. It's YOUR lesson, so you tell me what you prefer and I will make sure to do that for you. You also may choose topics to suit your interests and needs. If you prefer to talk about food, your love life ;-) …whatever you like is ok. I’m here to help you to be comfortable and accurate when using English and French if that interests you. My students say I'm friendly and patient. I find creative ways to give you the practice you need to use a new language in real-life situations. Practice makes perfect! We can use videos, games, role-plays and much more. I am an enthusiast of fitness and health. I can tell you about living in Costa Rica, doing tai chi, or choosing the healthiest foods if you like! Deeper discussions are fine if you can handle it. I was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan. I have been an educator in the Ann Arbor area since 2000. That is when I graduated from the... University of Michigan. Later, I obtained a Master’s Degree in school counseling from Eastern Michigan University. In the years that followed, I taught English, theater, Spanish, and spent ten years as a high school counselor in Ann Arbor. Now, I live near Ann Arbor with my wife, daughter, son, and our dog, Pomzilla. We say he is part Husky, part Pomeranian, and part Godzilla! That's how we made his name. I have lived in the US and Spain and have traveled to South America and Europe. Someday I would also love to visit Asia, Australia, and Africa. When I can, I love to go to baseball games in Detroit, Michigan. I would love to talk to you about your own travels!
