I'm a bilingual native speaker of Polish and Czech, with fluent English and German. I've been teaching individual Polish and Czech courses for... language schools and have 20 years of experience as a translator. I also gathered experience in many language tandems with Polish and Czech learners. Feel free to book a trial lesson (30 mins) to see what I can do for you! Read more
Hi! I discovered my passion for teaching English 18 years ago – since then, I have been teaching students of different levels and ages in... different countries. I live in Miami Beach in Florida, but since I helped my students prepare for the Cambridge exams, I know the differences between British and American English. The majority of my students had difficulties feeling comfortable speaking a foreign language, therefore I focus on conversation during my classes; of course I will be happy to adjust if you prefer to concentrate on any other aspect of the language. I prefer speaking the foreign language all the time during the class, but since I speak a few other languages, I can explain a certain topic in your mother tongue, if you like. I learnt a few foreign languages myself, so I know what it is like trying to learn or improve your language skills; I learnt the most when I enjoyed the classes, therefore I want you to ENJOY my classes! Ahoj! I am a Czech national who has lived in Nottingham, UK, for the last 10 years. My typical lesson consists of grammar, conversation... and games, but I can be very flexible, depending on your preferences.I believe that learning a foreign language should be fun and that part of all learning is making mistakes.I have plenty of my own materials prepared for each lesson (vocabulary, grammar and exercises) but we can follow your own files/textbooks if you have favourites. I have many hobbies and past times, such as writing fiction and poetry (published author of a children's book, others to be published, member of Nottingham Writers Club), screenwriting (a short film Zero Tolerance was produced in April 2018), horse riding, cycling, guitar, piano, knitting and sewing. I like to work in my allotment, I have six guinea pigs and I sing in a choir. Why am I mentioning all these? Because I believe that having common interests will make our conversation more spontaneous and you will learn faster! I'm sorry I don't offer a trial lesson but I prefer to go straight to the point, which means within the first 5 minutes or our first lesson we will be focusing on Czech alphabet and the pronunciation! Hello, my name is Anna, I´m 25 years old. I´m from the Czech Republic but right now I live in Mexico, Puebla. I´m a full-time freelance... language teacher. I teach Czech for foreigners. I´ve studied languages and pedagogy in three different countries (the Czech Republic, Spain, and Mexico). I have also a TEFL certification. I´ve been teaching for 5 years in different language schools and also as a freelance teacher. I am an experienced, friendly, and patient teacher, but above all, I am passionate and enthusiastic about teaching students. I believe language lessons are not only about learning a new language, but it is also a great opportunity to meet new people, make friends and, of course, have fun. I teach all levels of Czech: beginners, intermediate and advanced. I use mostly communication method of teaching which means we will speak a lot. From the very beginning, I will speak as much Czech as possible. But if necessary, in case of explanation, we can communicate in English or Spanish. I will provide you with my own materials, usually in Pdf format so you can easily read them on the computer or you can print them. I do like giving homework but if for some reason you don´t want it, I will respect it. Read more
Hello there! My name is Jana and I study BA Education Studies at University College London (UCL). I have always been interested in learning... processes and teaching methods, which can be used in order to complement the individual needs of a learner. Throughout my secondary education, I was a Spanish and English language tutor. Afterwards, I started studying the degree of my choice, which motivated me to offer Czech classes both privately and publicly. I especially enjoyed working towards the individual's goals (ie. passing an exam, travelling to Prague soon) as that not only motivated the students to learn the language but also gave me the extended joy of teaching them with a concrete purpose in mind. If you are someone who has got such a purpose, I am here to help!! The materials used have varied over the years and within the different languages. For example, when I was teaching an anonymous student for the IELTS exam, I was specifically working with the IELTS textbook to ensure we do not miss any important section. When you decide you would like to learn English or Czech with me, we would go over your goals and aims to create the perfect environment that would suit you the best. Lastly, I seek to create an openminded, stress-free and inclusive environment, where everyone feels comfortable to share and learn. I have had several trainings on inclusivity at my university, which I was able to apply while working in several NGOs. If you are interested in more details regarding this, do drop me a message too! Looking forward to be learning together soon! :) Jana Read more
