I am passionate about languages because I found it easy to study languages in general. I took my final exam in Bulgarian grammar and literature with A. I also graduated Glasgow Caledonian University, which of course required IELTS.I would discribe myself as a very patient, supportive and highly motivated person. I don't like to put pressure on my students because the brain works better when the focus goes on the learning materials, not on the stress.I want to help everyone, who wants to learn Bulgarian and/or English without any struggle. I am a native speaker of Russian and currently live with my family in Graz, Austria. After successful graduation form the department of slavonic... languages (with a main focus on Bulgarian and Russian) of the state university of St.Petersburg, Russia, I moved to Munich, Germany, in order to improve my knowledge especially in the field of theoretical and practical phonetics. I obtained my MA from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich in slavonic languages, phonetics and psycholinguistics. After my graduation I worked for several years as a scientific researcher and teacher at the Institute of Phonetics and Speech Processing in Munich and at the Institute of Germanic Studies at the Otto-Friedrich-University of Bamberg. After I had given birth to a son, I started to teach Russian, Bulgarian and German to students with different language skills and goals. Because of my education I am skilled to submit a qualified introduction to phonetics of Russian and Bulgarian as well as to offer a learning program which covers individual language needs of a student. Generally, it is especially important for me to see my students actively involved into the learning process. Besides, I am aiming at following rather strict methodological principles as well as at regular controlling of the acquired language skills during the lessons and as a homework. Specifically I am aiming at overcoming speaking barriers of the students, e.g., I would like to encourage the communicative aspect of teaching. Learning a foreign language is a beautiful and awe-inspiring journey which is not strange to me. Growing in Europe and living in Canada has... shaped my thinking abilities to see beyond the surface of individual’s potential to study. It remodeled my senses in a special way to be able to respond with tact and compassion to the needs of my students. In the same time it taught me the value of persistence and creativity. These abilities have helped me to master the art of teaching. Every student makes me a better friend, family member and a person. So far, I've helped different age groups to converse freely, to read, understand and love both English and Bulgarian. Beside that, my students not just improve their grades at school. Some of them became English teachers themselves. No two students are exactly alike. That's why I mostly use personalized learning method. It builds a learning experience that addresses the unique abilities of each student. Another method of teaching that I use is Learning by experiment. In that way students learn by doing. I create experiences for them to see the concepts in action. I found out that students tend to remember better when they see and then discuss what they learn from what they saw. I have also worked as a staff training and qualification expert within the Bulgarian career guidance system in education. For a decade, I have been an independent EU expert in the fields of vocational training and guidance and non-formal education mainly. Writing short stories and blogging is my hobby. MY EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND First of my Master's degrees is in Pedagogy, the second one is in Cultural and Historical Heritage. I have obtained an IELTS certificate, band 7.5,, and also a 50-hour TESOL certificate through a MOOC . METHODS Facilitating natural learning through creative solo activity and in-group interaction and communication, with some flavor of art. Methods used are largely based on Suggestopedia and "democratic education" under the school models of Sudbury Valley (USA) and Summerhill (UK), plus ICT. This creative language learning in small groups through reading/writing and communication includes: - TWO GROUP EVENTS a week: a webinar and a presentation event; - DAILY TASKS between the group events: SOLO ones - on individual creative projects, and peer project reviews IN MICRO GROUPS of 3÷4 people. There is much solo work of creative character to be done and enjoyed, as well as feedback e-forms to be filled in. The two group activities take place on: ✓ Monday and Wednesday; or ✓ Tuesday and Thursday. The weekly project produce can be: - A written text, original or translation; - An audio story / video with the text display; - A combination of both.
