Bonjour! Veux-tu apprendre français? ou l'améliorer?
My classes are structured according to my students' needs, I use different teaching methods and I rely on listening each of my students' expectations and goals. Dynamism and constant learning are my purposes in my classes.
I have worked as a French teacher for more than ten years.
I have academic studies in English and French from Montréal, Canada, where I lived for six years.
I learned French at an early age in immersion in a French-speaking region and I studied French formally for 11 years, obtaining a native level.
Fabrizio's children are learning French very fast, I have the impression that these lessons online have been helpful for them and I am sure they will master the language easily. They are very interested in learning.

Thank you so much Elisa for your very positive review. :D It’s also a pleasure to have you as a student every week and I look forward to seeing how you continue learning so well!
For the last 24 years my life has been in English, mainly on the move, having sailed around the world for 2 years on a 13m yacht, worked on a 60m yacht for 10 years as a chef, working with an America’s Cup team in Valencia for 2 years and creating and running a tennis school with my husband in Australia for 6 years, all while teaching English or Spanish wherever I went.
After all those years I came back ‘home’, took the CELTA certification in 2019 and have been teaching at a language school since. My previous teaching experience has been private teaching, working with school children and also with adults that wanted to learn the language to be able to apply for a job, feel more confident at their job within an international environment or just for the fun of it.
I love teaching because I love languages, the pleasure of being able to transmit my knowledge and see students improve makes me thrive in what I do. I take great care in working on what you want, making sure after every couple of lessons we are on track with your goals and that you are happy with our work.
For me learning a language is all about speak, speak, speak! All necessary material will be provided for you in class and if necessary, it will be forwarded beforehand to make it easy and fun for you to learn. Regardless, you will always feel a little bit challenged, that’s where the learning comes in! Whatever we work on we will revise after a lesson or two to make sure that you feel confident and happy with what you have learnt.
My mother tongue is French. I always loved literature, culture, and languages. I studied in Flanders for 10 years, lived in France and Switzerland for 4 years and now in Valencia, Spain.
I taught French in different contexts, usually informal but constructive: after school lessons, language exchanges, online support, and mentoring/corrections of speeches, conferences, and papers.
In 2017-2018 I taught French (Foreign language) to immigrants (Restos du Coeur, Saint-Louis, France).
I have taken the DAEFLE training (Teaching French as a Foreign Language) in 2017, but did not reach certification as the method doesn't befit me. I did collect valuable knowledge from this experience.
I believe in learning through interest and culture. Images and videos. Understanding a piece of music and singing along. Reading a news story, a folk tale or a poem. Asking questions and looking up answers online (with guidance). And then outside of class, use apps like Duolingo for vocabulary and repetition.
