Hello everyone! My name is Javier and I have been teaching Spanish as a foreign language for more than 10 years. In addition to being a graduate (in philosophy and literature), I have the certificate of pedagogical aptitude from the Spanish Ministry of Education and I am certified by the Cervantes Institute as a Spanish teacher. But as I say, above all I have more than 10 years of experience teaching the language, giving private classes, both face-to-face and online, in schools, academies, language schools, companies, in short, in all possible areas. My methodology is very simple, it consists of understanding the student, detecting their needs and objectives, but also their way of being and studying. How do I do this? Easy, because I am a normal guy. I'm an experienced language teacher with 5 years of experience teaching Catalan, Spanish and English to all levels and ages (children and adults) and German to beginners. I've worked as a private teacher and as a teacher in a school, so I can handle students one to one as well as groups. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, I also have experience in online teaching.
I've got a degree in Catalan and English philology, a post-degree in teaching Catalan and the official master for teaching in secondary and Language Schools (English speciality).
In my classes I always take into account my students' needs. I focus on communication, without forgetting that we need to learn the grammar in order to speak/write correctly.
I use different materials depending on the level, the language and the students, but they are always of diverse nature and they include videos. I usually include material created by me.

NB If you are writing a test like IELTS or TOEFL 'in a month or two' and you need to obtain a minimum score to enter a university, remember that according to education bodies like British Council and Cambridge English, it takes an average of 120-130 lesson hours to move from one level or band to the next. So with 'one or two' months, you need to already be at B2 or Upper Intermediate level to start preparing.

For B2-C2 level students who enjoy photography: Would you would like to improve your English conversation and your photography? In a typical lesson, you will show me your latest photos and describe how and why you took them. Then we will discuss how photos are assessed in photographic competitions and, if necessary, we can go over the essentials of using a digital camera (although it's perfectly fine if you use your mobile phone to take photos).

Hi! I'm Andrés. I've been a language teacher since 2005. I'm also CELTA certified but more importantly, it's my experience as a teacher, as well as being a learner of Japanese (intermediate), Chinese (intermediate) and now Finnish (super basic, just started), that counts. I feel it's crucial to be in the students' shoes to better teach them and recommend resources, habits, and techniques that actually work.

My teaching methods include a lot of input through listening, texts, followed by guided practice based on the material. Grammar is taught in a complimentary way, but the main focus is input and communication. I follow CEFR topic order so that students can see how their knowledge scaffolds along.

The materials are picked from the internet depending on the student's needs and interests, be they work, travel, study, or just for fun. I like to include videos about different topics like culture, business, life hacks, news, interesting facts, science, love and relationships, among others, with intermediate/advanced students, and communicational dialogues with beginner students.

I'm Isabel, a native English speaker from the UK, based in Spain! I am a patient, enthusiastic, passionate teacher with seven years of experience tutoring.

I started helping out at my secondary school and I was later recommended as a tutor by the school and went on to tutor children in differing subjects. Having always had a great passion for languages, Spanish and French have been my main focus when it comes to tutoring; helping many students prepare for their GCSE and A-Level exams with a variety of oral, listening, reading and writing-based classes.

In my gap-year, I worked towards a Trinity Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, which gave me the necessary tools needed to prepare lessons that would be both dynamic and rewarding for my students.

In 2018 I spent 6 months in Paraguay teaching English at a local school. While this enabled me to achieve fluency in Spanish, my packed schedule with all ages and abilities meant it was essential to adapt my methods of teaching to accommodate each individual student’s needs. While studying for a Masters in Translation last year, for which I achieved a distinction, I also worked as a tutor at Pembroke Tutors, preparing students for MFL exams and also teaching English.
