What our teachers offer
Bulgarian classes for all levels with a native teacher
(For SPANISH below)
About me
I studied Spanish Philology at the Sofia University and the University of Valencia and I just finished my Master’s Degree in Theatre Creation at the Carlos III University in Madrid. I’ve been living in Spain for the last 4 years and I´ve been teaching Bulgarian and Spanish to foreigners since my early student years. I have a diploma for a professional language teacher and I did a specialization in Pedagogy during my Bachelor´s studies. I worked for two years in a language academy teaching Spanish.
I also work as a freelanced translator from Bulgarian to Spanish and vice versa and a playwright which is my career goal for the future.
Мethodology
The fact that I know in depth three languages from different language families gives me the possibility the compare them in all their aspects and offer an associative, comparative and logical learning.
As an artist, I sometimes adapt theatre and musical techniques for teaching purposes and I work with a lot of materials from real life (articles, songs, television) which make the learning process more natural by escaping from the “artificial” content which most of the text books contain. I always adapt my approaches to the needs, interests, purposes and ways of thinking and learning of my students.
My classes are for all levels, ages and objectives.
SPANISH
Experiencia

Education and experience as a language teacher
I have an MA in Russian Studies from Sofia University and an MBA in Marketing from the City University of Seattle.
I also hold a post-graduate certificate for Teaching English as a Foreign Language.
In the past 15 years I am teaching Bulgarian to foreigners and English to Bulgarians. I like the opportunity to meet new peoples, learn about their country and culture and share with them Bulgarian language and culture. I have also developed several Bulgarian language manuals for foreigners and resource books for teachers and I am planning to continue working in this field.
My hobbies are traveling, photography, graphic design and reading.
Teaching methods
I teach Bulgarian conversational classes for beginner, intermediate and advanced students, both face-to-face and online.
Topics, functions, grammar and vocabulary follow the syllabi of the textbooks for levels A1-B1 but can be adapted to student's needs.
For levels B2 and above materials are prepared according to students' needs.
I use the communicative approach with grammar explanations and translations when necessary.
Learning materials
For level A1 and level A2 we are going to use the textbook Step by Step: Bulgarian Language and Culture for Foreigners. Manuals have been developed by Radost Sabeva, Margarita Andonova and me. I have used them both with individual students and groups, for face-to-face and online classes, with excellent results. Manuals are for English-speakers but can be used with speakers of other languages as well. In addition to the textbook and workbook I also use worksheets, presentations, and tests to provide students with more opportunities to practice the language.
For levels B1 and above I prepare the materials according to students' needs.

Hello everyone,
I am a native German speaker who has lived in Bologna for 20 years. Languages are my passion, in addition to German I speak and write Italian and English fluently, and I have some knowledge of French. I've got a legal background, where mastery of the German language is very important. After I moved to Italy I started working as a teacher for a private school, then as an export manager and legal assistant, but I always continued to teach in the evenings. Since 2014, I have been freelancing and devoting myself entirely to teaching and translating. I work for a foundation, in a tutoring centre, I teach in companies and to private people.
I believe I am able to establish a good relationsship with the students and I am flexible in adapting the lesson to the student's needs, or gaps!
I usually use course books with a homework part, but during the lesson I integrate with online material, tests, conversation, material that the student brings me from school or from his workplace.
Come and have a lesson with me and you won't regret it!
See you soon!

Learn to communicate in Dutch from the first lesson! Enjoyable classes with teaching materials tailored to your needs. First 15 min. class for free. My name is Karin and I'm from Holland, but I live on the Canary Islands. I love teaching DUTCH and have done so for more than 20 years. I have a Diploma in English Philology. I also have two methodology degrees: the CELTA (Certificate of English Language Teaching to Adults of the University of Cambridge) and the FCTBE (Foundation Certificate for Teachers of Business English of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry).
I have taught at a Business School and ten companies. In the last two years I've mainly been giving private lessons and I've developed a variety of online self-study DUTCH courses. My schedule is flexible and I adapt myself to the needs and interests of my students so that they reach their objectives in the shortest possible time.
Enjoyable classes, with teaching materials tailored to your needs.
How do the classes work? A class lasts 45 minutes. I'll send you the materials we are going to use in class beforehand so you can print them. After the class I'll send you audios of the notes we made, vocabulary etc. My speciality is communication, from beginner level to advanced. So, you will speak some Dutch in the first class already! Why wait any longer? Let's get started! :-)

I am French and works as a tour guide in Bordeaux and I am also teaching English, French and Japanese languages to adults and children. I started working as a teacher at Berlitz School when I
living in Japan to learn the culture and we had to use Berlitz method to teach, using sometimes pictures to introduce new vocabulary and others kind of tools for grammar...
The result is just amazing ! With that method , the students improve themselves very quickly. So now I am still doing the same and depending on the request, adapt the method. However, the main part of my lesson is based on conversation.

Hello,
I was born in İstanbul and I lived there. I hold a bachelor degree in cinema and television at İstanbul Şehir University. During my university years, my stories have been published in major Turkish literary magazines. After my graduation I have been specializing in children's book illustration and literature. I founded children's book publishing house in Turkey. The name is Yıldız Tozu Publishing and my books were released. I worked as an editor-in-chief in the company. I was finding books in the world and I was publishing them in Turkish. I am practically and professionally working on Turkish language and literature. Later on, I moved France to continue my education and works about literature and art. Currently, I am learning french.
I have experience in teaching Turkish in years. Furthermore, I speak English very well (TOEFL B2), it is advantage for students who are beginners.
Here my methodology when I teach Turkish:
I will use the grammar books and my presentations, time to time.
For speaking practice: illustrations, daily conversations
For listening practice: Turkish songs, movies, series
For reading practice: news and articles about Turkey (for advance students), stories, picture books (for intermediate students), texts from language books (for beginner and intermediate students.)
If students need to focus specific area like writing etc. I am designing my class according to that.
In addition, it is because I am using broad material about Turkish media, you will be familiar the culture and sociology of Turkey.
I like to do lesson in creative and in an organized way; therefore, I believe you will learn fast and you will enjoy learning Turkish with me!
I hope to see you in my class :)

I'm Giusy, I have a tremendous passion for languages and teaching is my main working goal. In my life, I have studied English, French, Japanese, Indonesian, Dutch, and my PhD major was Indonesian
I think studying is essential, but I think the most significant aspect of studying is the ability to share it with students.
I have different experiences in teaching, both Italian, but also Indonesian, English and French, at different levels.
I am very flexible and helpful; I prefer to create the teaching material according to the needs and level of the students.

Hi!
My name is Kirstine. I'm an experienced English and Danish teacher. I teach at a primary and lower secondary school. (Students aged 6-16). But I'm also very interested in teaching both younger and older/adult students.
I'm an international coordinator at my school, and very used to working with students and teachers from all around the world.
I'm used to online teaching.
I love having contact with people from all around the world. I used to travel a lot, but now I love to meet people from other countries either at my AirBnB or through online sessions.
I love to hear from you and teach you either Danish or English.
I have an informal way of teaching, and will work together with you to make the sessions how you prefer them.
We can use a textbook if you prefer, but I also like to read the news, small books, look at online videos and more, and to discuss and learn from that.

(I ONLY OFFER GROUP CLASSES ON HERE :) )
Hello, my name is Rebecca Rygaard.
Recently graduated as a teacher of Danish and English for the primary and lower secondary schools in Denmark, according to the Bachelor's Degree Program in Education, from University College Copenhagen.
I am born and raised in Denmark, and am a native speaker of Danish.
In my teaching I use a communicative approach, focused on having us communicate with each other and produce language to learn it. We will learn both from "input" (what we hear, read) and "output" (what we say, write).
This communicative approach will be focused on "real life" and authentic situations - that means that I'll actually base the teaching on my students lives. I.e. we could be talking about what has brought you to want to learn Danish. There will be authentic language only in this class - not language about hypothetical situations, that you might not ever need.
As part of this method, we'll be using task-based learning - you'll often learn the language through "tasks" in my class, with the point that you'll have to use communication, in cooperation with your peers (or me) to solve them. It's a lot of fun, I guarantee.
You will also be learning about the Danish culture, as I believe culture and language go together, and one cannot be understood without the other (I very much look forward to introducing you to Danish customs, traditions and food).
I'll be focused on your progress, rather your 'errors', as I don't believe in teaching a language by focusing on student's "mistakes", but on their potential. There is an "interlanguage" that is the language that emerge in between your original language, and the language you're trying to learn. And it is only normal that this language is a bit of a mix, that is ever-evolving.
With me, you'll also have the important advantage that I am both a teacher of English and Danish, and therefore know how the languages correlate.
I've learned about all of these aspects "the communicative approach", "task-based learning", "cultural studies" and "interlanguage" and a "functional view on language learning", as a part of my education, and I know they are all a part of recent research in the field.
I have prepared a lesson plan for beginners - which can both be used for group- and single lessons. But I can also create a specifically crafted lesson plan just for you and your needs/level, or if you already know Danish, but just want to improve it.
I hope we meet, and look forward to helping you learn some Danish :)
Rebecca
