I help you SPEAK Spanish. Are you learning a language just to accumulate random knowledge or to communicate, experience the culture and the people, and travel? I am pretty sure the latter is true, right?

In our lessons, you will communicate, eliminate mental blocks, and learn vocabulary and grammar that you will actually use. After each class, you will be able to apply in your conversations what you have just learned.

My lessons are fully personalized to your goals, needs, and interests. Every student is different and so are their goals, interests, and way of learning. In order to make the most of the sessions and help you to develop fluent Spanish skills, I customize my lessons and materials to every one of my students.

I am a grammar freak and that would make me a terribly boring teacher if I didn't also loooove to chat about everything possible. So I find it quite easy to find a good balance between theory and praxis.

I love people, that is why I am a teacher: I will love to know more about you, about your interests and your culture, as well as sharing mine with you.

I am also known among my students to make the best recommendations about series, films, books, and events to keep improving your Spanish in a fun and relaxed way.

A little more serious info: I am an Online Spanish Teacher with more than 10 years of experience teaching privately, in High Schools, Language Schools, and online. I am also a certified DELE Examiner.

I am a language learner too: I speak German, English, a little bit of French and I am currently learning Japanese. Thanks to this experience, I understand perfectly the difficulties and needs of my students and I adapt to them so that you can make the most of each lesson.

And the important stuff: I live in Austria, have two dogs and a toddler; I love reading, traveling and cooking; I am a Hufflepuff; I try to keep my beautiful plants alive; I collect stationery stuff; I love learning new things and when I start a series I love, I have a huge urge to finish it as quickly as possible.

I have a CEDILS certification.
In the first lesson I try to get an impression of the students, their attitude, cognitive style, needs, level of exposure to the language, motivation etc. I try an inductive - conversational approach first, I plan every lesson and I provide the student with a Google Drive file, anticipating contents and activities.Mostly I tend to work on what it's best for the students (ex. some of them prefer learning tables with grammar rules, verbs etc by heart, I make them understand that this is not considered the fastest nor most efficient way generally, but if it works for them I encourage it). I always try to make them capable of learn by their own and I want them to see me as a facilitator, a guide, not "the person who owns the knowledge". I keep my students focused by constantly stimulating them, asking questions, asking them to share thoughts and formulate hypotheses. Also I always provide explanations for what I do, why I do it in a certain way and at a certain time. I also use a manual.
I often propose topics related to intercultural themes, news, environment, LGBT+ but also tv series, movies and so on, I discuss with students what they'd like to work on and I find or create from scratch activities for them.

Maybe you need to learn French or Romanian and the momentum is missing. Maybe you are an expert in another area, and you don’t feel to learn a foreign language. I understand it very well because I noticed it many times in my 6 years experience as a teacher and examiner. Though, allow me to communicate with you not as a teacher, but as a permanent and impassioned language learner. Allow me to transfer to you a part of my enthusiasm and my conviction that anyone can learn a foreign language in a funny way. Firstly, I promise you that a foreign language is an open door to another mentality, to another culture. I’m writing from my experience; I’m Romanian and I’m learning French since I was 8 years old. It’s not an easy language, especially at advanced levels, yet in my opinion, it’s the most elegant language. French transferred to me not only an elegant way to express myself - even in my mother tongue but also a different way of thinking; I read in French many classical French writers. During my master studies, I had also the chance to live among French students and I borrowed from them a great way to schedule a working day. I honestly think that learning French or Romanian could mean for you adding value to yourself.

For more than 15 years I have been working as a language teacher in Istanbul, Berlin and Hamburg.

After studying Spanish Linguistics at the University of Ankara, I trained as a language teacher for Turkish and Spanish at the DILMER language school in Istanbul.

My methodology focuses on the language skills of the students.
Grammar is trained through direct application and thus stays in the memory.
History, culture and literature offer us a lot to talk about and soon you will become confident in using the language.
