I know not only from my own experience how dificult it is to learn a new langauge. My name is Kilian, I am 29 years old and I am a Spanish guy from Canary Islands.

A year ago I graduated in Spanish Language at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and I also finished the course that accredits me as a DELE examiner for levels B1 and B2 by the Instituto Cervantes. After studying abroad for six months (Czech Republic) I knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to teaching Spanish as a foreign language, so here I am!

Of course, my mother tongue is Spanish, but I also have an intermediate level of English which can be very useful to solve some doubts that may arise during the classes.

I am a native English language teacher from Ireland. I have the highly acclaimed accreditation of CELTA. I have been living and teaching in Spain for the past 2 years. If I had a C1 student, I would help them to work on their exam preparation skills and especially their grammar and speaking skills, I would also teach them specific terminology for their area of study/career.

I have been teaching Italian to adults since 2010, individual and group lessons. I have a degree in English and French, and I have a diploma of interpreter in German. In the summer I teach Italian in full immersion courses in Tuscany, where I live.

I really enjoy helping people to learn more not only about Italian as a language but also the rich Italian culture.
Usually I divide my lessons into three parts: a bit of grammar (which is unfortunately very useful...but I can teach you some tricks to learn without much effort!), a listening/reading comprehension part usually with videos, songs, docs about Italy and then ... we talk about Italy!

The learning offered depends on the interest and age of my students. They can choose what suits them best, so I will adapt to the personal needs of each of them.

We will be using study books, audio and video materials, all kinds of worksheets, games and of course conversations, which will lead the students to have a better pronunciation and oral comprehension.

I have been living in Switzerland for 14 years, where I work as a teacher and translator. I am a native Italian speaker. I obtained the federal qualification for teaching adults and also completed a Master's degree in teaching Italian as a foreign language at the Università Cattolica of Milan. I am a teacher of Italian at middle schools in Zurich and also work at language schools. I am a CELI certification examiner.
