¡Viva la fiesta!
Don´t skip this page, because the "fiesta vocabulary" forms a considerable part of Spanish culture. The reading is separated in 3 parts: Party words, Party phrases and Happy birthday wishes.
In Spanish the nouns are given with definite articles, because they are important to be learnt by memory.
In Spanish the questions are written with two question marks like this ¿....?
|Invito a todos mis amigos.||I invite all of my friends.|
|¿Quién trae algo para comer?||Who brings something to eat?|
|¿Quién trae algo para beber?||Who brings something to drink?|
|¿Quién comprará el regalo?||Who is going to buy the present?|
|¿Quién viene esta noche?||Who is coming tonight?|
The exclamation marks, as the question marks are always two: ¡...!
|¡Feliz cumpleaños!||Happy birthday!|
|¡Todo lo mejor!||All the best!|
|¡Todo lo mejor para tu cumpleaños!||All the best for your birthday!|
|¡Te deseo todo lo mejor!||I wish you all the very best!|
Lucia: ¿Quién viene esta noche? Who is coming tonight?
Kristina: Invito a todos mis amigos. I invite all of my friends.
Lucia: ¿Tienen invitaciones para la fiesta de cumpleaños? Do they have invitations for the birthday party?
Kristina: Sí. Yes.
Lucia: ¿Habrá comida y música? Will there be food and music?
Kristina: Claro que sí. Of course.
Lucia: ¡Que bien! Good!
Now you can practise the fiesta vocabulary with the exercises, audio, microphones, or through going out to a real Spanish fiesta.
